  1. And it is completely unfair to the clubs who soldier on with players getting stripped in the rain all winter, maybe on reduced or no wages and committees fundraising like hell to keep functioning then you suddenly find yourself losing hard won points towards the end of the season because other clubs might decide they've had enough of the hassle of no changing rooms etc and do the easy thing and pull out. Who recompenses clubs for the wages, expenses, officials fees and running costs incurred in those games against a club that decides just to walk away? Clubs have had loads of time to decide if it's for them. If in doubt pull out.
  2. Who writes this pish. The conferences in the WoSFL were settled purely on league finishing positions to ensure a fair spread of abilities across all three conferences. The spread of Ayrshire clubs is a matter of the finishing positions and that's the proper way to set up three fair, balanced conferences. In the West Region that has just been wound up and in the new WoSFL, there is no Ayrshire anyway, all clubs are West clubs.
  3. Ross has re - signed from last season. Class act.
  4. Updated squad list. Goalkeepers James Digney Grant Hay Defenders Euan Clark Daryl Convery Paul Doyle Robbie Halliday Chris Love Ross MacKinnon Midfielders Connor Bolger Martin Curren Cammy Haddow Ross Loughlin Ollie Smith Stephen Stirling Robert Wilson Strikers Mark Archdeacon Kieran Brophy Jamie Docherty Dylan Fletcher Craig Patterson
  5. They then lost the Scottish Juvenile Cup final the following night at Cambuslang.
  6. The game against Hayfield at Moore Park on the 6th July was actually the Govan Cup Final. Greenfield had already won the Glasgow Juvenile Cup, South Side Cup and Glasgow League Cup.
  7. It was on Wednesday 17th February 1965. We beat Kilwinning Rangers 4-3 in the Western League (North). STV sent a film crew up to do a report on the game with it making history and it was shown later that night on Scotsport along with the Inter Milan v Rangers European Cup Quarter Final. Probably the only time Brig O'Lea and the San Siro shared top billing
  8. Get up to Brig O'Lea, great pies, bit of banter, experience several different weather systems in the opening 30 minutes, the home of the first ever competitive junior match under floodlights.
  9. Neilston FC face masks will be available from Steven McAllister at Styres Garage at the top of the Holehouse Brae from Monday 20th July. £5 each with all profits going to club funds. Support the Farmer’s Boys and stay safe everyone!
  10. The stakeholders comments are quite telling. One going for maybe titles awarded, maybe null & void and the other five going for null & void. Says it all.
  11. Some teams may just want to keep their options open. The membership fee is not expensive. Sone teams may renew to facilitate finishing this season's competition but may not play next season's competition. Various reasons. Maybe some not wanting to miss out on a coronavirus payment if there is one.
  12. Was impressed with your set up at Lochee in the replay mate.
  13. Who would have thought football was coming to such a shuddering halt.
