  1. He's the same age as Ben Foster at Man Utd I think. However the other Everton keeper, John Ruddy, on loan at Motherwell, looks like a great keeper.. if we can find him a Scottish granny.
  2. In 2015 barely any of the current team will be in the squad except I'd say possibly Hutton, Brown, possibly G. Caldwell, Gordon, Steven Fletcher and Darren Fletcher. Impressive gravedigging by the way
  3. Hockey Night In Canada's commentary described Celine Dion's bid to buy the Montreal Canadiens as "titanic"
  4. Katrien by Mogwai. I've always wondered what the words being spoken in the background of the song are!
  5. Do any of you play any hockey? I'm in Canada at the moment so I took it up, just messing around on the pond with some friends, but when I get back to the UK it would be good to keep it up, I wonder if any of the teams in the UK have pick up games at their rinks.. wouldn't mind playing a bit of puck now and then.
  6. Has anyone read Sean Connery's autobiog 'Being a Scot'? I'm reading Barack Obama's book 'The Audacity of Hope'. He's a very perceptive, clever man, hope he brings some of his thoughts and ideas to the Presidency.
  7. Was it any good? I've just read 78 - How a Nation Lost The World Cup. An interesting read, and the bizarre hubris that surrounded Scotland's 78 World Cup is cringeworthy to read. McLeod, for example, didn't even bother scouting Peru or Iran, being so confident that Scotland would put several goals by them.
  8. The Music - Inconceiveable Odds. Their new album is bloody good.
  9. I was shocked to see Teddy from Hang Time as a baddy on US Crime Drama The Shield! Sure it'll have been mentioned, but No Country For Old Men is outstanding, Javier Bardem is immense. 8.5/10, loses a point and a half because it was half an hour longer than it needed to be (I assume that was to keep true to the book adaptation)
  10. I watched Fargo earlier on while I was eating my dinner, still a good film. Watch No Country For Old Men if you enjoyed Fargo.
  11. The adverts made it look like typical American trash but if its ok I'll give it a watch, what time & channel is it on?
  12. Seen a French flick on Film Four last night, Closes Secretes (Secret Things I think). Arty French Pish. 6/10.
  13. I'm going to see them Monday night in Manchester. Its a special gig they're filming for a DVD so I imagine they'll put a decent bit effort in.
