  1. Sad news about ex player Stevie Graham Many of the older school of Forfar Athletic supporters will be saddened to hear of the death yesterday in his adopted home of Derby after a long battle with illness of Stevie Graham at the age of 63. Stevie was a member of the ‘Loons’ squad under the stewardship of Archie Knox who reached the first national semi final in our history in the 1977/8 season, coming on as a substitute in that dramatic and never to be forgotten extra time defeat in the League Cup against Rangers. Stevie joined the ‘Loons’ in the summer of 1977 from Auchterhouse Amateurs, the same ‘breeding ground’ from which his lifelong friend Billy Gallacher was to arrive from later in the campaign. He made his debut on the opening day of that season scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 home win over Raith Rovers. In a two season stint at Station Park at the time, he made twenty-two starting appearances plus eighteen from the bench, netting six goals. He returned to the Club for the majority of the 83/4 season by which time Doug Houston was the man in charge but made only three starting appearances in what was our first ever title winning campaign. ‘Loons’ officials learned of Stevie’s terminal illness only early last month, but were delighted to send off a replica home shirt to him, which we know he wore with pride in the final weeks of his life. At this time the thoughts and sympathy of all at Station Park are with his wife Sandra, family members, friends and his former colleagues at Station Park, many of whom we know were in contact with Stevie and his family in recent trying times. RIP Stevie.
  2. Boro game on Friday the 31st is the only game on sky.
  3. Dublin bus seats according to one of the Irish posters on the Leeds forum:-
  4. The legend that was Paul Madeley has died aged 73. He was the Rolls Royce of the great Revie team playing in all outfield positions. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44932721 A local lad from LS11 made good who will be remembered with affection. A sad start to the day. RIP Paul.

  6. Depending on how many of you there are either taxi from the station or the bus. There are two options for the bus:- 1. Service bus Number 1 from Neville street to Beeston. 2. First run buses direct to ER from Sovereign Street which is the first left as you walk down Neville st. This will also take you back into Leeds after the game and costs around £3 return roughly. You could also walk it in 30 mins or so if you want. The Pavillion is opposite the East Stand and the Old Peacock is on Elland Road itself opposite the south stand. Beeston has the old white hart and the whistlestop which are both up the top of the hill from ER. Once back in Leeds after the game there are plenty pubs to choose from near to the railway station.
  7. Even though we've been dragged to hell and back, yesterday showed just why this spectacular club can never fade away - the fans, the club, are at a level that in reality other than £800m squad clubs in the UK and Europe no one touches us for reputation. We are Leeds - you might not like us, but you know who the f**k we are.
  8. CEO Angus Kinnear has said on BBC Radio Leeds that there will be a rethink on the crest after all the uproar today. They want the name Leeds United on the crest instead of LUFC.
  9. https://www.change.org/p/andrea-radrizzani-stop-lufc-from-implementing-the-leeds-salute-crest 43000 all ready have signed.
  10. Seems the deal is £3m up front with the rest add-on's. Dont think another forward will be brought in, as Derby offered us Chris Martin but his wages are to high, still you never know as Rads and Orta play their cards very close to their chest's and give nothing away. Forshaw wont make his debut tomorrow either as he has a slight injury according to TC press conference today.
  11. The good side of LUFC and also well done Mr Saiz for his donation which I presume is his fine for the incident at Newport:- £200,000 raised for Toby Nye.. It is with great pride that Leeds United can announce that the funds for Toby Nye’s Neuroblastoma treatment have been successfully raised. Generous donations from Chairman Andrea Radrizzani and supporters of Leeds United, as well as a day’s salary from players and staff at the club have gone towards raising around £175,000 - the final £25,000 has been donated by Samuel Saiz this week. Five-year-old Toby, from Leeds, will begin his treatment next week. Leeds United Managing Director Angus Kinnear said: “ We talk about family and togetherness a lot at our club, it’s a culture we have been determined to reinstate across everyone involved with Leeds and raising this money has truly been a team effort. “Staff, players, corporate partners and our supporters have united together to give Toby the best opportunity with further treatment and I am incredibly proud of everyone concerned.” Toby Nye will attend Saturday’s game with Millwall, the last time he can come to Elland Road before his great ember begins.
  12. A Dundee FC fan from birth, he also played for Montrose, Arbroath, Millwall, Rotherham United, Fulham, Peterborough United and Ross County. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/dundee/577621/tributes-paid-former-dundee-player-john-mcglashan-dies-aged-50/ Sad news. RIP John.
