Won the Premisership with City, again. Beat Arsenal 3 - 0 in the final of the Champions League too.
Should be signing Kaka for £70,000,000 + Yuri Zhirkov, which I'm happy about. Given that I've signed Juan Manuel Vargas, I won't miss Zhirkov too much.

I want the Barcelona job, though. I've won everything I can with City bar the league cup and the Club World Championships. :(

Fuck Kaka, Lionel Messi for £35,500,000 (thank you min. release clauses!)

Ok, so I lost the World Cup final to Peru after Pique handballed it and gave away a penalty. Needless to say he'll never wear a Spain jersey again. Or will he...

Because I have a massive dilemma and I need the advice of the good FM'ers of P&B.

Do I choose Brazil, Argentina, or stay with Spain?

Brasil.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't

Just seen "now that they have gotten rid of the usual Football manager applications they can start hiring someone with real life experience" after I resigned from Ivory Coast.

Yes. Unless Sky go bankrupt, there is no way Italian football will ever challenge the Premiership again.

I'm quite annoyed.

In my Thistle career, I've been asked if I wanted to take the Hearts job. I declined, but I wasn't too bothered, as I was hoping I could get Thistle into the SPL soon.
In my second season, and I've been offered the Ipswich Town job. I've delayed it for a week, and I'm 3rd in SD1, but I've been on bad form, and I don't think I'll get promoted any time soon.

I don't know whether to accept it or not. :(

Just been promoted to the SPL with Dundee... Megabucks Dundee. Don't really know what position is needing to be stronger but this should secure survival in SPL but still expect to sign a few more. Next season's line-up.

I.Walker

JJ.Perrier-Doumbe D.Barr J. Flynn C.Davidson

R.Zozulya C.Adam S.Lappin P.McCourt

L.Griffiths D.Mackie

Also got Gordon Greer on bench.

Signed Szamotulski for next season, along with Cassidy, Poom, Cranie

My mate has 2008 for it, and another has 2009.

It's alright, actually. Once you learn the controls it's easy enough to get. In the 2008 version, you don't get to see the wee circle guys scoring, but in 2009 you do.

On that note, I got Scotland to the quater finals of the Euro's, and a day before the semi's, I got a job offer from Raith Rovers

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

Started a new season with Burton Albion in a bid to get them up the leagues, end of first season and i'm unlikely to get a new contract after finishing just a few places above relegation, thought next year would be the year again :(

Had a decent squad too including Junior Mendes ( :P ) Don Hutchison ( ) and Robin Shroot on loan as well as Harry Forrester (Both extremely skillful in that league) and real life Burton striker Shaun Harrad (Goal Machine under me  )

Sacked at end of season. Added new Chelsea manager and stealing Shaun Harrad just to annoy Burton. They have many pennies. Have a look at this side (Mainly Chelsea back four + Cech, but my attack force is ace  )

Cheers Smurph,

The dilema is that I am only going to buy it once, and I'm tempted to try it on the PSP. I might end up going traveling next year, and playing football manager in some damp hostel under my flea-ridden covers sounds a great way to unwynd, but then again it's truly awesome in a big swivel chair on the laptop.
Is it worth going for it over the PC version?

I've downloaded the demo through Stream and quite impressed. Didn't buy last years, but I've gone AIK Solna in Sweden and attempted to lure Henrik Larsson to the brightlights of Stockholm and the National Stadium but he's not interested. I need a strong centre half too, and decided on my limited knowledge to try and also lure another near 40 man Teddy Lucic to the Rasunda, but he's having none of it either.. mmmm?

Just topped off a fine pre-season tour of Denmark beating Randers 3-0, I'm sure we'd have beat Rangers by more, FC Midtiyland 2-0, and 3-2 over Brondby - My Star man is Saihou Jagne, who Sweden should cap soon as he's got the Double Nationality thing going on with Gambia and Sweden.

Great time to finish off my game on FM09, just a day before FM10 comes out. Had a good career, started at Man City where I spent 6 seasons, then moved on to Barca for 2 seasons, then finished off with Fiorentina after 3 seasons. Won the lot with every team, and went the whole of my last season with Fiorentina unbeaten.

Also had spells in charge of Greece, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Croatia.

I would hate to be as good as that at FM. How dull must that game have been winning almost every match?

To be fair when I took over Fiorentina they were an absolute mess. I must have released about half of the squad and signed almost an entire team on a small budget. It was a great challenge and in the first season I think I pipped AC Milan to the title by a point. The next season I wanted to progress a lot further in the Champions League and I ended up winning it, then in the last season it was a great challenge to go the whole season unbeaten. Wouldn't really say it was 'dull' as such. If I played another season then yes, it would have been 'dull' as there was nothing to strive towards.

Haha, Jonny Evans, Anderson and Giggs all scored a hat-trick each in 13-0 win in a friendly for my Man U team.

I took over Ipswich Town with around 11 games into the season from Partick Thistle (who are now 1st in SD1) when they were in 22nd place, with massive financial difficulties.
Seven games to go, and they're 8th in the league, and four points off a play-off spot. 8)

Kenny Miller is fantastic in the Championship...
