Goal of the Tournament P and B 5's 07 me v Airdrie All Star's in the semi finals - pick that one out!
You'd have backed him to go 50-50 with a JCB and come up with the ball

well i was at a friendly at jocks loaning tonight and the ground was SATURATED, so glencaple in my experience, would have been waterlogged!what do you want them to do play on it and f-ck for the next 3 or 4 games?regarding the FORK i know the the guys down there n they would have been trying their best to get the game on so you get a grip the king george iv astroturf's flooded as well need i go on?
seem to remember teams asking speedy to switch games last year and him refusing, and him knowing games were off on a friday night yet tell opposing managers games still on,on a sat morning!que sera sera

The original post doesnt mention Vale offering the switch, more along the lines of Heston not asking. Mr Ed is a high ranking Vale official so if he is not saying that I'd say thats the case.

Agree but they should have switched the game we are only talking about one side of the town to the other.
If the pitch is unplayable in the first week of August then come the winter most games will be off down there and there will be enough rearranged games to fit in without the hassle of a postponed game from the second week of the season.

It is not one of those things as you say, all teams were told at the league meeting if their ground is unplayable then the game should be offered to be switched to either the away ground if the away fixture has not already been played or moved to an agreeable date ie the next day or something similar.Every team knows this so there are no excuses.

dont agree! why should they switch how many other teams would?
dont see anyone havin a go at mids for game being off,as per usual on this site its pick on the wee guy, too many folk like to kick teams when their down, heston should be encouraged for trying to turn things round down there rather than slate them at every given chance!can you tell me if its going to be a white christmas or not seeing as you can predict the weather that far in front?

Hardly think trying to switch a midweek fixture from Lockerbie to Sanqhuar late in the day is feasible is it.
The game at Glencaple was called off two hours before the kick off more than enough time (considering all the Heston players I would imagine live in Dumfries) to make the five mile journey to New Abbey.
Ive nothing against Heston (apart from they have a mouthy striker who is full of s***) but unneccassary call offs should be avoided at all costs as they can easily stack up and make the end of the season a farce.

Dull and becoming brighter ,in the evening frost (-3), and light to moderate southwesterly winds.
Warmer on boxing day, with intermmitent light showers.

Posters can post what they want, some folk in the South need to realise this is the internet and everything should be taken objectivly.

Think you need to chill out! dont give a monkeys how many games Heston play a week, merely stating that THEY WILL end up with a massive backlog come the end of season with that park. Mids are the same with their poor pitch + its the same every year. Switching woudntv been that hard + wouldve got the fixture played on a decent surface + out of the way.

More likeley because they have had extended runs in cups both local and Scottish and as for Stranraer they have to accomodate the first team games as well who I remember also reched the play offs post season.
All people are saying is Norfolk Park will probably have 15 + games postponed this season, they have no floodlights to accomodate midweek games therefore when a situation arises like last night the switch should be made.
If it was against Stranraer, Newton, Wigtown etc. then that is a different case but it wasn`t and could have been avoided that is undeniable.
There is no hidden agenda, no picking on little teams just that a postponed fixture on the second week of the season should have been avoided.
