Have Gretna retained their SFA membership?

No. As I'm sure all the Gretna fans will follow up with, it's a totally new club in all ways except the emotional ties to the old club, so don't have SFA membership.

They would never have carried their membership over anyway as they did not pay their dues to the SFA. Schoolboy error.

I am interested to hear from you to who made the schoolboy error!!
Gretna 2008 are a new club and would have to apply to the SFA for membership in their own right, was not a priority for season 2008/09 as gaining entry into a league was main objective of supporters trust!
How can SFA membership be carried over when the member club was finished off by the administrator??

I don't know, however I am sure that both Tarff Rovers and Selkirk passed over their memberships to newly reformed clubs many times.
