Critchon won 3v1.
Heard Saints were beating Threave. Any truth.

Liam Patterson and Scott Wilby. Draw was harsh on saints who dominated 1st half although 2nd was more even! Both sending offs were just especially that wankers Wilby hes more intent on whining than playin that guy!

Watched Nithsdale v Annan tonight - Annan deserved to win but Nithsdale will be disappointed with the goals they conceded, 3 of them coming from guys unmarked at the back post.
After Nithsdale made it 4-1, they had a great chance when the keeper Dougie Calder raced from his goal, the ball fell to a player 30 yards out but he shot wide of an open goal. Then a good ball in behind the Annan defence found a Nithsdale attacker but he shot wide to! It should have been 4-3 at that stage.
Graeme Bell scored twice for Annan, his second goal was thanks to a lovely piece of skill that took out a defender and then a cool finish. I was impressed with the right winger Ryan Adamson (No 7) and the centre-half wearing No 6 was also strong.

The same way they probably always are - fine until Saints go a couple of goals down
Chuffed with the 2-2 result tho, hanging on by fingernails at times, unlucky their number 2 with that chance in injury time.
Impressed with Jamie Clarke, he played well and worked hard, but Jim Kirk

I find that comment very disrespectful to be honest. These reserve players are supposedly on the fringe of 2nd Division football. Stranraer have the pick of the local players due to some folk believing they can actually breakthrough. Now whether you think thats realistic or not it doesn't really matter.
Lets face facts here though - a team of players who some think can play in the professional leagues scraped through against a team who have very little resources or choice in comparison. There was only 1 goal in the game in the end up regardless of what you say. Even once Stranraer has taken their pick of players you have other clubs who are paying money and enticing players with sums we couldn't possibly pay out.
Before anyone throw up the 'Stranraer young team line' I will give you a few facts on that basis as well. We fielded 1 player in our starting line up over the age of 21. By my calculations Stranraer had at least 5 over the age of 21 in their starting line up.
Harry Fidler did have a number of good saves in the match but to make out it was all one way traffic is a bit unfair on the smaller team who had a decent go at upsetting the odds. Stranraer had a number of close things but surely thats to be expected given the circumstances.

Pretty fair assessment. Agree with Jim Kirk, not a bad player but still a wee bit raw and tendes to lunge at every challenge although he did have one or two decent tackles. The Threave midfield was lacking and I don't know why but Vinnie looked very dodgy in the first half, to me it looked as if he was carrying some sort of injury.
The two sendings off were warranted and Patterson was lucky not to receive a straight red for his lunge on Razor. I have to agree with Twynhoms's view on Scott Wilby, an utter bawbag of a man. His antics when Threave equalised were petulant and childish and, in my opinion, there is no need for behaviour like that. If I'm honest there was always the chance that he would finish the game before any of the other players last night.

Fair opinions but i cant see how you can say that about Jim Kirk considering you had two of your defenders sent off and a third booked.
Do you condone Liam Paterson's actions that got him sent off? From the noises coming out of the changing room your management team sure didnt.
Overall a brilliant game its definately the best derby in the SoSL.

I didn't see Pato's 1st yellow card, but someone said he took a swipe at Maxi when they were celebrating the equaliser? Is that true? No wonder Davie was going mad!

The No7 is the best player I have seen in the Southern Counties for years.

I was not being disrespectful atall and I am sorry if it came accross that way. I am sure posters on this forum know the situation with the reserves taking the pic of the bunch and so on. That was the reason for my post being so short. I think you would be being pritty nieve if you feel the score line was a fair judgment of the game.
Fair play to you and your team and I understand how frustraiting it must be for you to attract players.
