Eyemouths New Arrivals Well well well

After reading the berwickshire news this morning, i read that skillen has now brought in 9 new players, who im sure none will be willing to travel down and sit on the bench.


I think the big question is will there be space for any LOCAL players in the team now???

Is sad to see after last seasons mostly local lads team built up by Robin and Andy being replaced by skillens money splashin. Sad to see the departure of Patterson and Dougall haha :lol: :lol: :lol: (more room left on the bench lads ;) )

8th, 8th and 9th in the last 3 seasons. i would say it was built up from the previous manager, off the bottom, not the laughing stock any more for sure, but why not try and up the position some more ? unless everyone was happy with just staying above the bottom ?. about time the squad were all worried about their position in the team and from what i've seen of the new manager, they all should be. the committee should be applauded for sanctioning this, it might all go tits up but at least they gave it a go. time will tell. you should know that the team basically picked itself last season, now it wont. as for the local players, as far as i've seen they're all still there except you and piffles

In all honesty I was just looking for a bite for a bit of crack, but i see where you are coming from. It was always going to happen sooner or later. I would have happily stayed and tried to fight for my place if I thought there was a glimmer of a chance of me getting in but what with 9 new signings that are midfield and strikers and from what ive heard and know from some of the boys currently there, what I was fed by the coach was utter bullshit when he had his meeting with me.

pre sesason going great, training excellent and all the boys enjoying it. 3 wins on the bounce, dinny think i would ever here me saying that at eyemouth lol. played well in all games but could go up another gear or two. the signings are making a difference as the players brought in are pushing the other lads for there place. yesterday all the spice boys where missing and to be truthful the boys played better, in my view.
