I dont know if theres another thread for this but I cant find it.

Is anyone a fan? There is a huge fight on Setanta on Saturday night with Forrest Griffin vs Quinton Jackson for the Light Heavyweight Championship.

Dunno if this is what I would call a huge match up. Forrest is a gutsy fighter but just lacks that little bit of extra class to push him to the next level, whereas Rampage is talented but questions remain over his long term mentality and his desire to stay in the grappling game. Should make an interesting fight though and if Forrest can take it to the late rounds then stands every chance of stealing a win.

Im sayin its a huge match up based on the Ratings for the Ultimate Fighter this year with both of them as head coaches. Im sure that people will want to see this fight.

Im tipping Forrest for the win. I think he can be a bit naive at times going in all guns blazing but he was excellent against Mauricio Rua and I think he has improved enough to be able to beat Jackson.

The upcoming fight I am looking forward to the most is George St Pierre vs Jon Fitch for the Welterweight title in August. Fitch is on I think an 11 fight UFC winning streak and poses a real threat to the belt. That will be an excellent bout imo.

Aye youre right enough- 86. Its on live Saturday night/Sunday morning at 3am but is repeated on Sunday night at 10 which is more reasonable.

Im a big fan of Anderson Silva. The guy is a machine. Won every UFC fight he has been in, in 2 rounds or less.

I see he is moving up to fight a light heavyweight next. Easy ;)

A Silva-Bisping fight would be amazing to watch and surely with the run Bisping has been on since moving to Middleweight it has to happen soon.

Interestingly though Silva is fighting James Irwin in a Light Heavyweight match on the 17th of this month.

I just finished watching the latest Ultimate Fighter at the start of this week, so I am looking forward to saturdays main event. I like Forrest, but think Rampage will have a somewhat easier fight and win.

Also, as much as I hated CB Dolloway during the Ultimate Fighter, he really should have beat Amir Sadollah, but to tap out to the same submission twice in a row to the same fighter was a bit of a letdown for me.

Josh Koscheck vs Chris Lytle was an enjoyable fight with loads of blood but apart from that this card is boring the arse off of me. The main event is just about to start and better be good.

What a fucking fight! Completely made up for a mediocre undercard. A 5 round war.

Mr Kilsyth calls it right - your new Light Heavyweight Champion of the World is Forrest Griffin!

Yea, that cut was nasty, im surprised the ref never stopped the fight. It looked like he was pouring pints out of his face. I also enjoyed the Stevenso fight as he got a great gillotine choke on the guy who took him down to the ground.

Talking about sponsors. Noticed on the undercard one fighter with condom depot across his ass.

I thought that Koscheck v Lytle was nowhere near as entertaining as it could have been. Koscheck laying on him for 3 rounds. Loved watching Tyson Griffin he really is maturing into a very exciting fighter, and a title match with BJ will lead to a stern test of BJ's vastly improved stand up.

Tyson Griffin done really well dominating his fight as his opponent who was 4 inches taller and had a superior reach. I think he could be a contender soon.

Maybe I was a bit harsh on the undercard. I think I was just getting restless because it was so late.

Just watched 87 and by fuck Lesnar is for real. I had my doubts after his first fight but I don't think I have been this impressed by a fighter since the first time I saw Fedor. GSP was as awesome as usual but props to Fitch for hanging with him. Florian was also a shock performer last night. The whole card shown was excellent so may have to watch the prelims but would reccommend everyone to watch it.

Not a massive fan of UFC but went to watch a match when in Vegas. Until I found out tickets were $300 (£150). At which point I choked on my cornflakes and opted against

Lesnar is the f***ing man. His post match promo/heel turn was absolutely class and he knows how to make money. He is worth far more to UFC as a heel than as a regular fighter and I genuinly believe that people will eventually pay big money to see Lesnar lose.

Overall it was a fantastic show, every fight was awesome apart from the Kongo fight. Another dominating display from GSP, Kenflo looking great and Rob Emerson knocking Manny the f*** out after 12 seconds.

Kongo the guy is a monster. Was a good win for him. The viking was terrible. I watched this live last night. Was well worth it. Up until 6am though. Very tiring. Fuerta did well. His background as a child is very sad

Where next for Lesnar? Can't see them giving him Big Nog yet, however struggling to think of other viable options. BJ and GSP? I know BJ wants to create a legacy and all that but he should stick to cementing his place at the top of his own food chain, despite the fact he is probably my favourite fighter and one of the most naturally talented martial artists around he doesn't seem natural at 170.

Kongo is far from a monster, he got his ass kicked by Herring and is just an above average heavyweight.

I think they will give Lesnar a fight with Kongo next. It is a fairly safe fight as Kongo has no takedown defense and it will essentially be the Herring fight again. After that I think they will give him Werdum, before looking towards a match with the winner of the Mir/Nogeuria fight. The one fight I really want to see is Fedor v Brock in about a year and a half, as I think that would be an awesome fight.

Just a shame that Tim Sylvia has gone or else it would have been great to watch Lesnar murder him in the octagon. Fedor would still defeat Lesnar due to his BJJ skills being slick and Lesnar still being naive leaving loose limbs.
