TBF, less than ten years in Alloa to find someone with the technology required to print the T-shirts and someone else who could spell is pretty darn quick.

Stirling seem to celebrate a 6-2 win over Kilmarnock as much as Alloa do the 7-0 derby win. Do you not have a song about the former as well?

The quicker amongst you will have worked out that the reason behind the request was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of this famous result. That clearly rules out Stewarty and the Pheonix :P .

To be fair, that was against a Premier League side, not a side from the same league. And even then, we don't name supporters clubs after it, or make t-shirts about it.

We'd never be that sad. ;)

However, ironically, we did actually bring out a t-shirt for our fans to wear on the last game of the season in 1996 at East Fife. Earlier in the season, Archibald had called our 3-0 win there a 'freak result', so we made t-shirts displaying the logo 'Freak Result my arse'. We had won the league by miles by that point, and we gubbed the Fifers on the day as well. Which was nice. We took around 700 fans to Methil that day, ad I reckon around 250 of us were wearing one. :D

They do say time is a great healer. Hopefully in another 10 years Stewarty will have lightened up a little bit about 'that' result ;) .

It shows how sad Alloa fans are. If anything, you should be celebrating your Challenge Cup win around the same time (season after wasn't it?), rather than one silly result during the league season, which ultimately meant nothing. Indeed, your semi final win over us was far more annoying than the 7-0 game.

Also, we could easily have beaten that result at least twice since then, thankfully we're not so parochial and tend to think of the bigger picture. ;)

What a load of pompous nonsense   . Isnt it lucky for us Alloa fans though that we have somebody like Mr Mac to tell us what we can and cannot celebrate? What a joy it is going to be having this poster back on the Division 2 forum for the season ahead.

Anyway Ill leave Mr Mac to look at the bigger picture and stew over how his team "could easily" have beaten the 7-0 scoreline in recent years.

In typical Waspie fashion, you've no real answer, so you'll resort to having a wee sly dig at my expense. Bless, some things never change.

It wasnt a "sly wee dig", your post was pompous. I suppose I could answer your points but is this really a debate? Its a t-shirt ffs!

If we were going to debate it Id have no chance anyway, how could I hope to outmanoeuvre somebody wh comes up with this kind of point "we could easily have beaten that result at least twice since then".

Where did you lot find The Pheonix by the way? A sensible sounding Bino with a fine line in subtle humour, it just doesnt seem right.

I dont need to make a point when it comes to you, just read the definition of pompous below then read over your post. Easy. The problem is, as ever, you just keep replying whatever happens and when the other person inevitably gets tired of it you claim to have won the 'debate'. A debate on this occasion about a t-shirt. The only saving grace this season is we have number 1 wasp and allowafletic, they might just keep you busy and give the rest of us a break.

pompous

• adjective affectedly grand, solemn, or self-important.

Found your Question underneath all the rants.. only from an Albion Fan...

The Simple answer to that is it's a big win against our Local Rivals and is celebrated as such.

Ayr Utd once had a fanzine called 4-1(Ayr 4 Killie 1).

Hearts have given names to their various thumping wins over Hibs.

Here in Sheffield they still talk about the Boxing Day Massacre(Owls 4 Blades 0)Nearly 30 Years ago.

Every club does the same. Deal with it!

Fair enough, but in these examples you'll find that the other team actually cared, therefore it was maybe appropriate to rub their noses in it.

You'll find few, if any, Albion fans who really give a toss. Which makes the whole concept of a t-shirt all the more ridiculous.

Still, at least you've had the decency to try and explain it.
