As suggested on another thread, this thread is for listing all up-coming friendlies involving EOS clubs. Most games are official (announced on club website/approved by SFA on their website); however, games with  before them are only rumoured, or stated in local press. If you hear of an upcoming friendly involving an EOS club, and it's not on here, post on the thread. I'll edit this opening post regularly to include them all. Similarly, if games are called off - post them here too.

Aren't Ebbsfleet United the "Myteam" club? So can EOSL rivals get people who subscribe to Myteam to pick an XI of the most psychopathic hackers to face Annan and knacker their best players for the new season? Just a(n evil) thought......

The Eddie Queen Memorial Tournament has been going for the last 4 seasons and this year Thorniewood United are hosting it on 19/20th July (at their ground in Uddingston). The format is two semi-finals on the Saturday, followed by 3rd/4th place and Final games on the Sunday, kick-offs are 1.00pm and 3.00pm both days.

This years participants were to be Thorniewood Utd (West Region Juniors), Oakley Utd (East Region Juniors), Blackburn Utd (East Region Juniors) and Civil Service Strollers (EoSFL), however, the new Oakley manager does not want to take part so they have withdrawn.

If any club would like to fill the vacancy, please send me a PM or email. Thanks.

erm...........

Saturday 12th July
Peebles v West Calder Utd (TBA, Whitestone Park)

No Junior team is allowed to play before 19th July, so I'm not sure how West Calder can be playing on that date....

No Junior club is allowed to play a match prior to the third Saturday in July, otherwise you incur a hefty fine and the wrath of the SJFA, as well as invalidating your player insurance should anyone get seriously injured.

If I were Peebles, I would double check with West Calder.

I once saw a match break out a few years ago before the official first date for junior friendlies between Preston Athletic and a passing XI of junior players from an unnamed club who just happened to be in the area at that precise time... ;)

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok.

Do clubs playing outside their own country need special permission from the SFA or higher? to play a game even a friendly? What happens if there is an "incident" that results in disciplinary problems? Hope there won't be but just wondered what if? :guinness

U don't have 2 play the big teams for friendlies. These teams might have been chosen to install some confidence into the laddies b4 the season starts! ;)
