As a non-member club Crichton can't switch grounds for the Scottish cup

Then it is high time they took the SFA to court :-@
If teams like Coldstream and Cival Service Strollers can play in the cup, this it is a farce.

Saintslad, Which rule are you quoting here, I can't find anything in the handbook or amendements from the recent AGM.

I asked that a month ago or so.I think it has to be with being a non member.Coldstream and CSS are members. The counter arguement is with the cup now allowing Junior clubs in all clubs EOS or SOS should be allowed the opportunity.

Grounds for Ties, excluding Semi-Final and Final Ties
Subject, in every case, to the terms of Rule 13:-
(a) In each tie, a match shall be played on the ground of the club first drawn in the ballot.
(b) If the result is a draw, a second match shall be played on the ground of the club drawn second in the ballot, unless, in the case of a Preliminary Round match (if applicable), a match in Round One, Round Two or Round Three, the clubs agree to play on a neutral ground.
12. Semi-Final and Final Ties
The Semi-Final and Final Ties shall be under the direct control of the Board who shall make all of the arrangements therefor.
13. Grounds for Ties
Notwithstanding anything which is contained in Rule 11 if a club notifies the Association that it is unable to play a Cup match at its registered ground as detailed in the Official Return (Rule 6 refers) for whatever reason and the Board is satisfied of the validity of such reason, the match shall be played at the nearest registered ground of equivalent capacity which in the opinion of the Board is most suitable for the occasion. If a replay should be necessary, it will take place at the ground of its opponents.
If more than one club from the same city or town or with the same nominated registered ground is drawn to play at home in the same Round and it is deemed, for whatever reason, that their matches cannot be played on the same day or at the same kick-off time then the clubs shall decide in rotation as to which club has the choice as to when the notifying club’s match is played.
Registered Clubs
Registered clubs participating in the Preliminary Round (if applicable), Round One, Round
Two and Round Three are subject to the following minimum criteria:
a) The ground must be enclosed with a suitable barrier to keep spectators from
gaining entry to the ground without payment.
b) The club must provide the following facilities inside the ground and closely adjacent
to the playing field.
1) Separate changing, showering and toilet facilities accommodation for home
and visiting teams.
2) Separate changing, showering and toilet facilities accommodation for three
match officials.
c) The ground must comply with prevailing Health and Safety regulations, and, where
applicable, have relevant certification issued by the local authority.
d) Appropriate facilities to provide refreshments for visiting players and match officials.
e) Adequate car parking provision for players and match officials.
f) Technical areas capable of holding ten persons.
g) Adequate toilet and catering facilities for spectators

Although not up-to-date with the costs of portaloos, catering trucks or buying a couple of hundred yards of fence - with about £20,000 guarenteed income from playing in R2, I would hope Crichton could hire temporary facilities and/or do the necessary upgrades to existing ones, so as to get in.

the figure of £20,000 is well of your lucky to get £2200 for 2nd round

I think prize money (gross) is:
R1: £2000
R2: £4000
R3: £6000
R4: £8000
The SFA charged £150 a booking in R2 and Lok's total was £6000 minus 6 bookings (£900) iirc.
Linlithgow would have banked £20,000 plus split gates - their bookings.

Crichton will be playing in Round 2. (Guaranteed £4000 minus any indiscipline fines).
The SFA will determine if their ground is suitable for a home tie i.e. depending on their opponents, etc. If unsuitable the Crichton will be playing their Round 2 match at Galabank.
None of the aforementioned needs debating - it is fact!!!

When will a desicion be made by the S.F.A.? do they need to inspect the ground?...surely you cant play a Scottish Cup game on a park where you can't charge for entry...
