No St Mirandas have been banned, your pram emptying was one of the funniest things on this forum in a long time.

I have a grip, you are the one that got upset that people though Beckham had talent.

Maybe the St Mirandas think he is decent though.

When did I say he did not have talent?

My apologies, he cannot run very fast and that is a very important charecterisitc of a good winger.

I'm not going to check your statistics but they sound like something you would make up on the spot, could be wrong however.

So you think beckham can hit with his left foot, how many goals has he got with it, how many assits? How many headers has he scored/won in his career, how many tackles has he completed. Don't take my word for it, my assesment is the same as George Best's assesment.

Now that I think of it, I think it was in the Portugal game he needlessly wimped out a tackle that led directly to a goal.

Obviously I disagree, according to many real fans he was never their best player.

Beckham is a nancy boy, a two trick pony, and about him being a "great guy" did anyone see him squaring up to someone in the MLS for daring to tackle him?

It was Brazil's first goal (Rivaldo) where Beckham jumped out of a tackle.

Whilst I cannot stand the man, you have to give credit to Beckham for having such a standing in the game armed with only a good dead ball and the ability to hit cross field passes. You could argue til the cows come home but how good he was (do you think Fergie ever regrets selling him?) but the fact remains he is now done as a player and I sincerely hope England keep picking him. As someone else said, Beckham is like one of those special free kickers in Subbuteo.

For those who can't stand Beckham, read anything by the journalist Brian Glanville - entertaining stuff.

On that basis you will no doubt take Pele's crazy babbling as Gospel? Maradona whilst no doubt a great player was a huge flop as a manager, Best was off his tits as well, not unlike yourself.

I think Pele, Best and Maradonna are better football judges of everyone on here.

All 3 streets ahead of Beckham

I'm totally sober, unlike the majority of the people on this site.

As for Pele, he said an African team would win the World Cup by 2010 and advertises tablets for floppy snakes.

Maradona takes potshots at journalists with an air rifle and is the size of a hot air balloon and George Best is a dead drunk.

Beckham is still a good player, most European sides would welcome him back, if you can't spot talent as obvious as that then you can't be much of a football fan.

This coming from the man who thinks he knows more about football than George best.

And who thinks given is better than gordon.

Oh dear

I also have the backing of Diego Maradonna, who thinks beckham is an average player and there are 100s like him around the world.

George Best is dead and was an alcholic, Maradona was hooked on drugs and Pele lists Saudi Arabian players and women in his top 100 players of all time. All were great players, but that doesnt really mean much. How about adding Gazza onto your list? Cappelo and Ferguson were better judges of players.

Given IS better than Gordon and has been the best keeper from the British Isles in the last 10 years. Gordon has done nothing of note in his career and was average at best in his first year at Sunderland never leaving his 6 yard box.

You really know f**k all about football.

Correct George Best is dead, how does this make his opinion any less valid?

So to answer my question, do you know more about football than maradona, pele, and Best (while he was alive obviously).

Saying Given has been the best keeper in the british isles, is one of the most blinkered statements ever made on this forum. Shay Given would disagree with that.

You think Given is the best keeper in britain, your opinion is now invalid.

For his 100th cap he stayed stationary, never got involved in 50-50s, and poor wes brown had to do twice the running. Despite one excellent cross he done nothing, much like Ryan McCay for St Mirren. Yes I compared beckham to ryan mccay.

Certainly I would love to get paid millions to stand stationery on a pitch.

Make your mind up for fucks sake!

For the record, Beckham is a class act, both on and off the pitch. No player gets a 100 caps for England, played for Manchester United and Real Madrid for the bext part of a decade and make as much money as he has done.

Remember the 3-3 draw between Madrid and United at Old Trafford when he came off the bench and nearly won the game for United when they were 3-1 down? He was fucking amazing that night. One of the best performances I have witnessed in the flesh. Mind you, the fat Ronaldo was better that night I remember.

but remember people have been saying scottish football is crap as well...a two team league with the only talent coming from outside scotland!! McManus scored a cracker the other night for Colorado. Becks should remember who pays his nice salary where he can live in Californis , the MLS fans.

They have players like Adam Moffat playing in the MLS. He was released from County as he wasn't good enough. He then moved to America and was picked up the MLS. As has been said other players like Tam McManus and Kenny Deuchar are playing in this league, and the average level of skill in that league is poor despite there being some exceptional talents in it (Beckham being one).

However players no longer playing at the highest level will start to drop in performance as they don't need to perform as well against their current opposition. Now Beckham's attitude and fitness are exemplary however mentally he can be very suspect at times. I don't think that he could continually step up and play against top class international players when playing in the MLS. Likewise many players in recent years have been overlooked by their national managers as they have been playing in a poorer like the SPL.

If Beckham was still playing in the Champions League each season he would still be an asset to the England side.
You will retire me, but Iniesta will retire us both.

First Scholes, now Beckham.

Which member of the 1999 Champions' League winning squad will you slate next?

Perhaps Peter Schmeichel didn't take good enough throw-ins, or Jaap Stam couldn't hit corners. Maybe Denis Irwin couldn't save penalties.

David Beckham would not have played so many games for 2 top clubs and under managers like Ferguson, Capello and Eriksson if he was as bad as you are making out.
