That's called paranoia. If some innocent bystander had tapped you on the shoulder to ask you the time, or for a light for their cigarette, who can say you wouldn't have panicked due to that paranoia and turned round and stabbed them?
There's no getting away from it, you're very strange and potentially dangerous in that sort of mental state.
exactly...how the f**k can some idiot who tells folk publicly he is prepared to use a weapon on a hunch be anything other than menatlly ill.

I know the comments show that the rest of the UK feels that the thugs from last night are representative of Scottish supporters in general.

That's what I was wondering. Where are all the Rangers fans?
They are quite notorious for going into hiding when the lose, I suppose. Bloobell is anyway.

Congratulations to Rangers for showing us up on a global stage. The one saving grace is that some may assume they are actually from Northern Ireland and the blame may be deflected from Scotland slightly

My opinion is that you have mental issues. I'd say the same to anyone who carries a knife and get ' a feeling' they might use it.

'Fans' on the tracks meant the station was shut to traffic.
A group of rangers supporters attempted to pull a driver out his driving cab window, God knows what would have happened to him had they succeeded.
Another group trapped a driver on his train and wouldn't let him out.
A number or carriages were vandalised (that's a mild term for what these fu ck wits did)
A Tactical Response Group was requested and were unable to access the station due to the number of fans blocking all exits and concourses.
The whole lot should hang their heads in shame.

Is there a source for this? Not because I don't believe you but because I want to see it.

You are really underestimating the dangers of a night out in the Westerton.
And that side alley that leads to the Crooked Arm is really steep. On icy evenings, it is a death trap.

The source is the Network Rail control Log which is accessed internally only. Being Network Rail they won't even give all of us printers so we can't print off hard copies. I can, but I'm off for a week and I'm buggered if I'm going in to work for you.
I'll ask on one of the railway forums and see if anyone can come up with it.

Yup - 2 huge bins full of beer at Central - I bet BTP will have a great night in on that lot!
The Official Thomas Cook / Rangers Charter leaves at 0727 tomorrow, and is looped many times before it gets to Victoria.djw1981

Due to at least one of the public space, BIG screens packing up, there were thousands of blue shirted fans jumping on and off any train that they could get on to travel out of the city centre looking for somewhere to watch the match.
At one point a pager message was sent out informing traincrew that Piccadilly had been closed due to "Dissorderly Fans at the Station" one York crew were quoted upon their return from a Manchester Airport run that the concourse at Piccaddilly was rammed full of Footie fans.
Another source at control claims there were football fans running accross the track at Piccadilly halting all Traffic Into, through and Out of the Station.
Thankfully i was coming back from the Toon during the festivities so wasn't affected.Tallest bloke in my Depot -H-

Rumour has it that three 185's got trashed. I wonder if TPE will see short (3 vice 6) formations today as a result?185101

Victoria wasn't much fun last night either Fans everywhere at 2220, very few police actually on the platforms, although there may have been more on the concourse. I was too busy trying to dodge missiles. Left the station with glass bottles being hurled at the train
Wonder where you stand if you want to refuse to work a train in these circumstances?I'm not wierd - I'm normal. It's everyone else that's weird!

I agree with this as well. Personally I think they should have banned all football hooligans aka rangers fans from traveling south. Rangers fans are always know for violence just think of the celtic - rangers derbys.

I think most football fans can be when tanked up / angry / losing. I remember Newcastle vs Sunderland when I was young.
Living in Glasgow, derby days are not too bad (and its not one side more than another when trouble kicks off) but the Police up here are out in force those days. Including IIRC some Strathclyde officers on Stations etc (though may be wrong there). It looked like Greater Manchester were not doing too well at controlling the crowds outside the station and filtering them in as trains were ready, which is what tends to happen at the Glasgow stations at times of peak demand. I would have thought that with 2 large teams and derby days of 150,000 fans in the city that the Police would have been better prepared.
Maybe TPE should have hired some Mk2's to use on the football trains instead...

What about the scandelous decision to reverse the in and out doors at the Allan water cafe. When chowing on ones fresh whale supper it constitutes a health and safety nightmare
