I have just seen some new footage on Sky Sports News of a group of about 200 fuckwits charging into the police, knocking one to the ground and kicking the shit out of him. It and the other incidents are absolutely sickening.

Some of what was happening last night was terrifying, Riot police everywhere and Tactical aid units were being brought out, also add looting to the list of crimes by Rangers fans last night...........

Its now emerged that a paramedic was attacked while trying to help a casualty in the square.

Seriously?

That eclipses anything else that I've seen (other than the stabbing) for sheer scumbaggery if it's confirmed.

I'm trying to get my mind around the kind of person that would do that.

The same kind of scumbag that throws rocks at firemen trying to put out fires.

Unblieveable.

Tory Deputy Leader Murdo Fraser puts his head above the parapet

Quote

Mr Fraser, who is a Rangers fan, said the Greater Manchester force had "serious questions" to answer about its tactics.

He said: "I think there was unacceptable behaviour by too many Rangers fans in Manchester and I think that is very disappointing.

"But I also think there are serious questions to be asked about the policing in Manchester.

"I thought there was an over-reaction in terms of deploying riot police which possibly enflamed the situation and I think there has to be an inquiry here looking at how ready were the police for so many fans to come and visit the city."

Here's the video http://www.youtube.c...h?v=F965rbxetrw .

It's incredible. Some Huns on FF are saying how wonderful it was that only about 50 folk got arrested and that it was only 200 troublemakers. Of course ignoring these lucky folk who deserve time for this but knew there was no way they could be arrested.

For all the laughing I've been doing about their excuses, and the fact that they have completely shown themselves up for the scumbags that they are, this video makes me nauseous. There is NO excuse for attacking a Policeman.

This confused me also.

Was Murdo in the square where the TV failed? I suspect not. He seems to have plenty to say about what the police should and should not have done based on hearsay and nonsense.

Possibly the most appalling footage of the night I've seen so far. A crowd of well over 100 'fans' (I use the term loosely), rampaging down a city street ripping up anything that isn't bolted down, and pelting police with it. Local pedestrians and car drivers run for their lives. And why exactly? Because a big telly broke down, and couldn't be fixed (to a large extent because the technician was pelted with bottles and refused to work).

If 1 or 2 officers hadn't gone back to help their colleague, combined with some locals or sensible fans (not clear) who let him get away, he could have been seriously injured.

In a scenario like that, the police would have been justified to fire on the rioters, IMO.

Think the beaks from Europe will hammer Rangers, it was headlines on ch4 news and they returned to the story a number of times, even Gordon Broon has flung in his two bobs worth instead o sticking it in the back o the giant telly to get the picture back.

Not only that, the local cops say many of the hundreds who were rioting were too pished to understand and respond to the "The TV is fucked. Please go to one of these other venues" announcements.

They even laid transport on to shuttle the fans elsewhere.

Yes, but you have evaded the question. So far, you have said that if you were in charge of Rangers, you would have urged fans not to travel. That would have done nothing. Can you come up with anything better? Perhaps something practical? No?

On top of the fine which should be the very least they get, Rangers should be forced to pay for the clean up operation. not a penny should come from anyone else. Better yet, get the scum that have been arrested last night to clean it up themselves.

It's incredible that some of the apologists are bragging about 42 arrests....there should have been a hundred or so arrests on the basis of that video alone.

The good thing is it happened in Manchester city centre with lots of CCTV during daylight hours and thousands of pictures taken by fans.

The onlky way the Rangers support could mitigate their position now is to shop the fuckers who caused the trouble.....name the fuckers on the cctv...hand in pictures to the police for evidence and report every one of the fat rabid disgusting right wing cocks respsonsible.

Lets see how sorry they are and if they are willing to cooperate with the police.

Well? Yes, everyone is agreed that the Rangers fans who did this are scum, and yes, Rangers should be punished for it, but again, what could Rangers have done to prevent this? If you cant think of anything sensible, then just say so.

It actually seemed far quieter than usual in Stirling last night, less police sirens than I normally hear.

Yeah, that's the one I seen on Sky Sports. The more I watch it, the worse it becomes, action needs to be taken. Mug shots on the front of newspapers so the public can identify the savages. Sadly whatever punishment they receive will not be enough in my view. What are we talking, 6 months in jail, fines, or community service?

They will have done their time and free in no time but Scotland will be tarred with their actions for years to come.
