So who is gonna win then??

I for one am hoping for an absolute belter in front of a big crowd up at Hospital Park. It is major test of how far Crichton have come but Threave will also need to show that they can handle a little bit of extra pressure.

In terms of a prediction, I will keep my powder dry until Friday when I promise to make one...maybe :D

I'd like to cricton win but after watching them last night against dumfries i doubt they will they beat dumfries 4-1 but the score line flattered them with 3 goals coming in the last 15 min

Exactly - but when he gets round to it i'm sure it will be a ''massive'' game for both. Maybe hes too busy getting himself dolled up for his big night out tonight with his show biz mates?? :D

Agree with boyfaethetoon after watching Crichton on Wednesday then Threave must start favourites. Crichton do seem to have a bit of a ''never say die'' spirit though so maybe that will get them through but i'll go for Crichton 1 Threave 3.
Tell PC McGarry to get himself a mate and arm themselves with CS gas!

They're gonna be out late cause there's gonna be a riot down in Trumpton tonight.

I thought it was a horrible game of football today, Threave played right into Crichton's hands. Knocking big aimless balls into two wee strikers and Wilson and Johnston won all the headers.

Didn't think it was that bad an end to end game with threave having most of the play but cricton having the best clear cut chances wullie beattie could've had a hat trick. Well done cricton a good back to the wall performance.

Well I for one wasn't expecting that result yesterday! Hence my prediction of 2-1 for Threave on West FM five minutes before kick-off - I didn't have a clue how it was going to go!

It wasn't pretty. There wasn't much football played at all but it was a game that you couldn't take your eyes off as it was so hard-fought and evenly-poised.

I thought Willie Beattie's three missed chances in the first half would come back and bite him but the thing is he always seems to get another opportunity - as he did yesterday when he scored the winner.

It's a great result for Crichton and they are now red-hot favourites. But they still have to close the deal, as it were, and they will want to do it against Mids tomorrow. I know I wouldn't like a midweek trip to Newton Stewart needing something.

As for Threave? Well they will just have to sit and hope but I am sure they will already be concentrating on the Challenge Cup Final so they at least have a trophy to show from the season.

The best thing about yesterday was the crowd. We thought it was around 300, if not more, and that is brilliant for South League football considering Stranraer only got 451 for their play-off game with Montrose 70-odd miles along the road.

Okay, the football wasn't the best and it was more huff and puff than fancy skills but then you have to remember what level of football this is in the grand scheme of things and in my opinion it wasn't any worse than the dirge served up by Fiorentina and Rangers over the past week!

I agree with the match analysis, but you have to admit having a team who were never favourites and written off before a ball was kicked can only be good for south football in the future. No one likes seeing the same team winning year after year we like a good battling underdog. Well done crichton and finish the job this week.

Well of course am gonna be biased about the game...but people saying there wasnt much football played.... fair point...but at this stage of the season - and especially from when we had around 8 games to go and knew there was a realistic chance of being there or thereabouts for the league title - it was never about playing the lovely one, two touch flowing passing game (which has been in the Crichtons game during the season) but most importantly about obtaing the vital 3 points at the end of each and every match.

At the end of the day, thats all that matters. And the statistics show for themselves... Crichton haven't been beaten in the league since August.

I agree that it is good seeing a different team winning the league, I hope if the Crichton get the point they need ( I think they will) they are able to take part in the Scottish cup and if it is correct that annan have offered their ground as a venue then well done annan. B)

it was always going to be a bit of a battle and as a result not much football being played. wullie beattie probably scoring the more difficult of his chances!

a deserved title and hopefully they will find a venue to play their scots cup tie, beacuse there facilities are not good enough for the step up to the next level.

non member clubs are not allowed to switch grounds just another kick in the teeth from the big wigs surely the court of human rights should be informed of this as well as the £10,000 debacle
