FC_1919, i see you have something against the Critchon,in the posts i have read over the last few months. I am a Castle Douglas lad, Threave been my team for years, and last leason they didnt deserve to win the league. On paper Threave and Stranraer FC did probabaly have the best team with all this 10k they got of the SFA they should off had the best eam. Critchon never got that. I went down towards the end off the season to watch Critchon v Stranraer FC and in my opinion Critchon won the game quite comfortably then i watched the game against Mids where they won the league and i thought it was well derserved. They played better than Threave did and grinded out results. I have never met J.Thomson but he seems like a hard character with a never say die attitude which the Critchon had talking to various people who were at the games. Are you moaning at the fact they are the first Non SFA member club to win the South League. You are intitled to your opinon but at the end off the day over the season Critchon had more points than anyone else so there league champions. Another question is will they be up there next season, reading between the lines Kennedy is a great signing, but it depends on who they get 2 replaces Wullie Beattie. Personally i think they will give Threave and Stranraer FC a run again this year.

I don't really have anything against the Crichton, being of the opinion they are not that great a side doesn't mean I have something against them.

The post you quoted there is to do with the fact they have numerous players called Milligan in their side. With the possibility for one coming from Nithsdale.

threave spent £10.000 on extending dressing rooms and refs dressing rooms not on players

Dont think anyone is disputing Threave spent a lot of money on improving the ground, facilities etc but the fact remains the players are well paid too..........that is the case every season so i think everyone should get of their backs bout the 10 k xmas handout as they have clearly used it on ground improvement

i dont think crichton are the first non sfa members to win the sos,if my memory serves me correct max high fps won it in their first season in the south, and three in row champs stranraer ath weren't full members either.i must agree with the other dude that they are not a great side but i agree they deserved the league.and i agree if they can keep their big squad happy and maybe add a little more quality they'll be the team to catch! :( hope not though :(

A month till season starts and everyone will have started pre season by now so what are the transfer facts now and not the romours? Surely most teams will have their new signings in place or is that not the way it wrks?
