Going by previous posts Wigtown is going to have a helluva size squad next season.Whoever is in charge(Mickey rumored to be Stranraer bound or not as SOCRATES1870 says) must surely keep majority of youngsters who are starting to show their worth and add Stuart and Derek Cluckie alongside Barry Whyte with 3 others who may be returning from last seasons team.If they have this lot they will certainly have a much better year.

Rumour has it that certain clubs are offering players huge cash sums to either stay with or sign for their clubs, is this good management or utter stupidity. And if you were a player at a club paying money how do you feel knowing that other players are getting more than you. B)

Think that's a bit harsh on Alan....from what I hear he has never wanted the job anyway. Alan is a coach........talking to boys from last year's Wigtown team he is brilliant to work with at training......and would rather work under someone.
Would be good to see some of the local boys and Doyle etc joining Wigtown get them back where they belong.

T\he post was not meant to slate alan as he has done a decent job at the reserves, \I\ was simply stating that \I\ thought \M\icky would do a better job, no disrespect to alan.
\W\here do Wigtown belong?

Haha. I'd take Rodney Niven to Threave ANY DAY!!! Seriously! It's because Melvin is retiring and we need someone to go and get the ball when it goes out the park into the dump!

I can confirm that the above is true, he also got offered appearance money etc, but decided such was his loyalty to his club that he would stay put
