Remember on our run up to the UEFA Cup final under Martin O’Neill a bid deal was made about the teams we were playing all containing a V:

SuduVa
Blackburn RoVers
Celta Vigo
VFB Stuttgart
LiVerpool
BoaVista
.............and then Porto (notice what's missing?)

Clearly despite playing in SeVilla, the reason we lost was because we played a team with no V.

Anyway, fast forward to this year and the Huns and playing teams who’s main colours include Green, of which has been talked about:

Panathiniakos
Werder Bremem
Sporting Lisbon

Thankfully, Fiorentina’s main colours do not involve green..

So clearly despite playing on a pitch that is green, all the signs point to the huns losing the semi’s.

Saying that VFB Stuttgart has a V in it is like saying that every single club in Britain's name has an F and a C in it.

Edit to add : Hope you're right, though.

I feel his pain

I'm quite enjoying watching the Tims squirm just now as they're panicking that yet another Lazybones theory goes out the window - you know, the one that says they only won hee haw in 2002/03 because the UEFA run took so much out of them

I agree of course but my point is that Rangers have a real chance of winning a domestic treble and now at worst will play ONE less game in the UEFA than Sellick did in 02/03

I'm also pretty sure that we have played more games overall than the Lazybones side

Getting to the UEFA Cup Final back then was an achievement but to win nothing with that squad was criminal imo
