I was impressed by Stranraer on Monday night, think they might win on Sat and go on to lift the title!

Yeh i'd say so.. two teams that like to play football on the grass like it should be played & two teams challenging for league title.

Threave v Edinburgh City is by far the match of the day, Crichton v Stranraer is the next best option.

Both of these matches will be tight but i'm going for a Threave win and a Stranraer win both winning 2-1

Critchon 2v0 Stranraer Res.

Was a deserved victory Critchon, were comfortable. Scored 2 mins after half time when Russell Milligan latched onto a long ball and prodded the ball past the keeper. Stranraer pressed Critchon looking for equaliser but they suffered a set back when the No8 was given a straight red for a late tackle on Lee True. Critchon then nearly made the game safe when Johnny Nicol put in a pinpoint cross which was met by Russell Miligan but his bullet header just caught the post and went out. Into the last 10 mins Noggin came on for Russell Milligan and also made an instant impact. He burst into the box, dropped his shoulder, had keeper beaten all ends up and he had the simple thing to tap it into the goal but instead he blazes over the bar from 10 yards. Stranraer then had there No5 sent off for a second booking and from the resulting free kick Willie Beattie expertly placed the ball in the top corner. Well deserved victory, 4 points behind with 4 games in hand i think. So its still a 3 horse race which makes things really interesting for the run in. Big Adam Johnstone was solid and Tommy Muirhead was safe has houses. Good all round team performance and great team spirit.

Threave got beat 3v2 on pens after it being 1v1 after 120 mins.

it was actually a very good game at meadow today, very end to end in stages of the game, i personally thought threave had the better chances and prob should of won but in saying that edinburgh started the game very well and it took threave a good 20 mins to start to get into the game. fingland was very un lucky in the 2nd half of extra time when he headed against the post from close range only for the ball to come back and hit him again and go wide. keepers on top at the pens with vinnie saving 2 and the edinburgh keeper saving 3. even though we got beat it was a very enjoyable game and good luck to edinburgh.

F.C. Lad and Cyber they pulled it out!......next sat Stranraer v Threave so both cant win...was at the game at the Crichton today.....Young boy McColm looks a super player as did Kelty before he got a red card...........red head left back was unmarked for long periods but didnt push on at all but is clearly a player.........Ross up front was a constant threat too................for the home team Johnstone bucked his ideas up today and his 2 partners Milligan and Wilson made a good back 3....Midfield was boosted when Stanky went on as i can't remember him losing a tackle or header.........Milligan and Beattie were always a threat up top and a goal a piece was all they deserved as they could have had more............2 new players settling in too! Pitch looked a bit rough but every team will be the same the now?

I said on the other thread well done just unexpected. McColm no matter what the banjo players claim on WestSound he is not their youth product. He is the product of the Queens youth team.

The boy is still developing his game and doin this with Stranraer and not Queens. Work is been done by Stranraer coaches to help him and as part of the youth set-up. Ok he started with your mob but scince the beging of this season his game has came on leaps and bounds.

Indeed, but when he signed his new contract the quote was "Youth product Stu McColm signs new deal..." it was that daft American bint who said it.
