list them here. don't be shy we don't know and won't judge much anyway. for example, I tend to stir my tea 27 times clockwise and 21 anti-clockwise. with coffee I must have 6 ever descending sized teaspoons of coffee in the cup, obviously you don't start with a full spoon or it would be well too strong, it's quite a delicate operation getting it just right. they don't have to be food related btw.

I have to start a flight of stairs on my right foot and finish on my left. It annoys me when a flight of stairs or steps have an odd number.

I meticulously catalogue all my MP3s, there's nothing more irritating than when you get a song and it's filename and tag are a mix of nonsense characters.

I can see how that must be very infuriating. perhaps you should open a seperate for such occasions.

did you know most people open a banana from the wrong end ? not the end with the bit on it the other one, give it a try, works okay most of the time.

I always have to start walking with my left foot, and I have to have MP3s tagged correctly, too.

Yep, that too.

There's 2 separate blinds in our bedroom, one over each window. When I actually bother to open them, they have to be at exactly the same height. Curtains, when shut, can't have a gap between them. When making the bed, the duvet has to be completely straight and have equal overhang on both sides.

I have both of those as well, and as a counterpoint to the first, when curtains are open they must be all the way open.

I always brush my teeth left to right, every single time, but I suppose that's just because I'm right-handed. But I shave right to left.

I do that too

Every song must have the first letter of each word in capitals eg. Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
and if an artist is featured it has to be feat. nothing else, I really don't why I am so picky about this
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

What if the name of the artist/band is non-capitalised by design, e.g. "kd lang"?

CDs and DVDs must be in alphabetical order. Why would anyone not do this? The mind boggles.

I agree
and, what really annoys me is if say one of my mates is going through them, picks one out, then puts it back in the wrong place!!!!

Gah! That annoyed me just reading that. It's the same as when someone takes a CD out of the player to put a new one in. Rather than placing the one they've taken out back into it's original case, they put it into the case for the CD they've just put in the player.

It's also hella annoying how some people put "The" before every band. Everyone knows that in a catalogue system, "The" should be missed out - Beatles should come under B, not T! Rolling Stones under R, not T!

yet curiously you don't seem to be concerned about the number of carrots and bananas contained in this cake, do you shun food related eccentricities?
