As it says and asks on the tin, i play and my stats page is in my signature bit, i aint the best as the stats proof but i am willing to have a mess around with anyone if they want?

This is my altime favourite game. I used to play for hours when it came out for about a year afterwards.
After that it became populated by folk just trying to get helicopters and planes rather than help fight. I've not played it in about half a year now.

Btw, G36E medic is the best kit.

Agree with the first part of your post. There was nothing worse than seeing a queue for choppers and jets, teamkilling each other to fill in the time until the vehicle respawned. Meanwhile elsewhere on the battlefield I've just single-handedly captured our first flag and screaming for reinforcements and an enemy tank rolls in...

L85A1 was clearly the best medic kit... Fully automatic, single shot, bigger scope than any other assault rifle - What more could you ask for?

The whole reason I don't play any BF games. Friendly fire is needed in these sorts of games, but setting it on only makes the kiddies fight away for all the re-spawned vehicles. Personally I don't like vehicles in these sorts of games anyway. Only Red Orchestra makes any attempt to add in realism with tank drivers an actual class you choose rather than any tom dick or harry being able to drive one.

I bought BF2142 when it first came out. My first round saw me get in one of those battle walker things, and a kill spree of 35. I was naturally delighted with this. Those sorts of rounds continued for me until someone unlocked the anti-vehicle sniper rifle and found the weakpoint of the battle walker. The whole game was ruined for me

I've never played a Battlefield game since.

Play on an inf only server then no hassel for cars and jets just run around capping flags and killing folk.

All of which are considerably lower than CoD, which is single handedly the best WW2 and "modern combat" game available.

CoD4 is a brilliant game but it can't touch BF2. It had everything CoD4 had and more including far bigger maps, more kits/weapons and vehicles.

Epic, epic game - While COD4 comes close but as the above poster said, it can't touch BF2.
