It takes about 5 texts with my mates to find out what a 30 second phone call would, i have stopped text coversations now and just phone people when they text me.
I only use texting for winding people up now

Aye, depending on what you're trying to sort out, generally, a call would be cheaper, but sometimes an off-the-cuff text is better. However, I'm a bit of a pain in the arse when it comes to replying. Sometimes it's just not convenient for me, and sometimes I just can't be bothered. I never say "sorry for not replying before, but I was *insert whatever I was up to*", because sometimes I wasn't actually up to anything, and to reply otherwise would just be lying.
That said, when Fudge was calling me a couple of weekends ago from his Uni jaunt, I took no hesitation in telling him exactly what I was doing. That was exceptionally inconvenient.

1) People not indicating when they are turning off the road.
2) People not putting the hand brake on when stopped at lights, but having their foot on the brake resulting in the person behind being all lit up from their brake lights.
There you go two for the price of one, both of these are more annoying.

I agree. I only really text if I'm wanting to tell a group of people something.

I text all the time, but I only reply to those who actually text something worth replying to! My mums actually the worst person I know for this. She puts "see you later" on the end of her texts, and then gets hacked off when I dont reply to that...I dont know about you lot, but "see you later" generally signifies "end of conversation", how can you expect a reply to that?

People who text you a message telling you something, then complain when you don't text back, despite their message not asking a question, but simply telling you something.
No way am I going to waste a text message by basically aknowledging I got their message. If they wanted to make sure I got the message, then they should have called and spoke to me !

That's right ... and folk that send those 'funny' e-mails
I was chatting to my mate the other week and he asked why I never replay to his e-mails
and he sends them to about 30 folk .. is he expecting a reply from everyone?
and as for yon 'jokes' ... why can't the Americans just see the joke in a funny picture without having to drag it out with a long shpiel beforehand
