Great idea to build a social club there. Possible source of income for the club.
Pity the game is off. I might go and jump over the fence just to check though, lol.

No worries Dave.
I was actually being serious (except from the jumping the fence bit). I think it would be good for clubs to look towards the likes of Annan Atheltic as a example of what you can do with a decent social club. Good luck to Saints with that. I would love Threave to have a good clubhouse/social club place.
I'm not sure what facilities other clubs in the south have, as I've not been to al the grounds in the region. Feedback anyone?

i seem to remember something like this happening a few seasons ago a "FAULTY FUSE OR SOMETHING" against tarff rovers
So you're saying that this isn't the first time this has happened at St. Mary's?
Nobody here is questioning whether this is genuine or not. All southview said was that the game was off. Don't get paranoid now.

Idea of Social club is good but will the cost of getting a licence and running costs ( insurance etc) not be prohibative ? I am just thinking of all the pubs moaning just now about maybe closing down because of costs. If it is cost effective then I think it does add to the club and can be a great source of income. B)

Could it not be moved to Meadow park if Saints lights not working?

Of course it could...........players were telling people on Saturday that the midweek game was off........if a sparky couldn't make it then why not switch it in light of the backlog of games?

get real threave wouldnt give up home advantage or to their credit ask for that its the bulbs that need replaced (3) ! threave were asked if they wanted to come check but said they were happy to believe this was the case. Saints have offered other teams prior to light problem to play midweek but teams didnt want too!
that didnt help backlog!
bulbs have been needing replaced for months so why all of a sudden when you are playing THREAVE are they not good enough so come clean and just admit you had not a team ps lights are pish anyway.

We have 3 bulbs of the wrong kind in top half of pitch they are getting replaced combined with a bulb out on a set of wrong ones making it very dark then there are 2 out in middle of park. I reckon if the game was allowed to go ahead by the ref and Saints beat Threave there could of been cries of it being too dark.
PS Standing near Vinnie Parker during the warm up at last Saints-Threave match at Meadow Park he was complaining of the lights. I am led to believe Threaves are not SFA regulated floodlights.

At this time in moment yes only because we have bulbs not working on ours. Saints' floodlights are a lot brighter and higher which doesnt blind players like Vinnie Parker was complaining about. But then again its everyones own opinion.
