Take it thats fergusons ambition to win sos title rather than get into play off so much for u19s suppose qos done same to sos lied!!

I never understood this before but, it was explained why the players were playing comback/fringe players etc. I think his ambition will be to get in the playoffs. There called Stanraer Reserves not under 19's!

In my opinion Threave are still the best side in the league and they have my best wishes for the rest of the season. They play football the way its supposed to be played, are a professional out fit and dont have many if any or your usual type of arseholes who think they are big shots and constantly mouth off or be arrogant. In my experience most top teams in the South have a good couple of them. So good luck to them and roll on Saturday for us where hopefully we get that rare thing called a 'game' against Stranraer Athletic.

Thanks. It's nice to hear that about Threave. The boys at Threave are out training twice a week, and I mean proper training, not 'a kick around with a football because we can't be bothered running' type of training. They do a lot of work during the week. It pays off over the season as their fitness shows through. Also Threave are an organised team. I wouldn't say they have the best payers but they are all lads who want to play football with each other.
I'd like to hear what you think about other teams in the league.

I would say they do have the best players in the South, obviously not all but on the whole.

Yeah Threave are a well drilled and fit team. Their "pass and move game" is very effective with all the players prepared to play as a unit instead of just for themselves. Agree with the comments about them generally being more respectful than some teams who win more often than not. Still setting the standard for the other teams in the league.

Threave were by far the better team but at 2-0 I felt we were competing ok and threatening to get back into it. The decision to award of penalty near the end was baffling (especially with 3 match officials on duty). I don't think I have ever seen a penalty awarded when the offence was so far outside the box. Even the Threave players were making comments about it being miles outside.

There was a bad one like that on a Friday night before a Scotland game. They got a pen that happened to be miles outside the box everyone there apart from the ref seen it. They were well up but it was a shocking decision, the referee's are not the best in this region to say the least.

Yes, Threave are well drilled and fit. I think the fact they are well organised (and this all comes from their training) means that they don't need an individual player to stand out. That's not the type of football they play.
Threave have set the benchmark for the rest of the South teams in that the have shown their commitment to training and organisation and it pays off. They won't win forever but I think they're ahead of other clubs in terms of their training.
I couldn't comment on how respectful they are in comparison with other teams, I'm not sure other teams are disrespectful, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Threave just keep marching on matching the professionalism of their superior neighbours Stranraer F.C.(League wise) which of these two will come out on top? A draw today and a game still to be played at Stair Park so all to play for

It's going to be tough. Threave still have to play Crichton, Stranraer and also saints away. But if you look at it like this, they all have to play Threave, if you get what I mean.
Threave have won the league the last 2 years because they beat the big teams. Let's hope they can do it again.
