Good game?
Not bad Stranraer had Paddy Keogh,Gerry McLaughlin playin in defence made a difference to them but i would hardly say Gerry McLaughlin is Queen of the South class Andy Houston is twice the player. A scrappy game both sides having chances a draw would have probably been a fairer result

Threave v Newton Stewart. Last I heard it was 4-0. Scorers: Struthers, Warren, Baty and Donley.
Not sure if that is a full time result or not.

Game finished 5 nil- penalty that was never in the box. Overall a comfortable win for Threave. 1st half they pulled us all over the pich with great off the ball runs. We have only played 4 games since November and the rustiness was showing. Saying that Threaves movement would cause us problems at the best of times. 2nd half we were better and at 2 nil we were actually playing a lot better but we gave away a bad goal to make it 3 nil. In all honesty although we hoped for something out the game the main thing hopefully it has given us is a good workout with a lot of games for us coming up where we need to match fit.
In my opinion Threave are still the best side in the league and they have my best wishes for the rest of the season. They play football the way its supposed to be played, are a professional out fit and dont have many if any or your usual type of arseholes who think they are big shots and constantly mouth off or be arrogant. In my experience most top teams in the South have a good couple of them. So good luck to them and roll on Saturday for us where hopefully we get that rare thing called a 'game' against Stranraer Athletic.
