City equalised when a goalmouth scramble saw White's downward header bounce up and hit the bar, Scott Walker (I think) try to bundle it in, before Paton eventually prodded over the line.
Not quite sure what happened with County's second, but it looked like another mix-up.
Don't think City put enough pressure on Creer, who was his eccentric self tonight. He really is quite a bizarre keeper.
I'd probably have said a draw was a fair result, but like I said, we didn't test Creer enough to deserve much out of the game.

Keddie?
If it was him he really is on form just now.

County's first goal I don't think you can attribute it to a defensive error, fair enough you lost possesion but the quality of the strike was unbelievable. Higgins finished very well and was glad to see him score with the amount of effort he has put in the last few weeks.
The Brechin goal came from a typical scramble in the box, it was well finished, however County should have dealt with the ball long before it nestled into the net. At this point Brechin were maintaining posesion well but didn't quite threaten enough. Creer wasn't tested at all at this point.
In the second half County came out and aimed to stretch the Brechin defence, and it was this that eventually lead to our second. Knocked it down the channel and Shields crossed for Higgins to take a touch and shoot into Nelson's right hand corner
We had several other chances with Scott missing a free header at the left hand post, and Shields wasting a ball from a poor kick from Nelson.
On reflection I think a draw would have been a fair result mainly as County for most of the game were impotent, however Brechin just didn't threaten enough with the possesion they had.

Well I just want to put my hand up now and say how wrong I was about Alex Keddie a few weeks into this season. I started to question after defeat away to Queens Park whether our centre back pairing were even fit for the 2nd Division. Of late Keddie's been solid, he was easily MotM for me in the St Johnstone game and sounds like he was standout for us again tonight. Good on ya big man.

Creer looks... just as dodgy as he was before. Kicking was awful. Decision making was terrible, was coming for balls he didn't need to and getting lobbed by his own defenders... on multiple occasions. Then when they did want him to come out he stayed back. Didn't have much to do but don't think he managed to catch anything at first attempt. Bit disappointing to only manage to get one in the net to be honest. Thought Paton should have scored in the 2nd half when he got in behind only to fall the ground the second he got into the box. That was one he had to take on with convicton, and if the defender does catch him he is sent off as well.
Anyone else notice the blatant back pass from Diack to Nelson in the first half?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't play him against Alloa, Peterhead, Airdrie or Raith.
Thanks,

Missed the first goal due to leaving the pub too late but I'm led to believe it was something special. Wasn't entirely convinced that the ball was over the line for the equaliser.
Poor defending by Dyer for County's winner. He may not have been responsible for marking Higgins but he saw him run free in the box before getting goal-side of him, then when the ball came in he made a fluff of it and Higgins made no mistake.
As for Creer, he was his dodgy self and other than his wonder save from Smith, he was very poor. Had he been behind a weaker defence I think we would have scored a good few, but Keddie in particular was outstanding in the County back-line.
Not too disappointed at losing out to the run-away league leaders. Hopefully we can get back to business with a win at home to Alloa on Saturday.

We were quite amazed about how often a bunch of kids in the Cemetery End were able to put a so called professional keeper off with some 'interesting' shouts and the standard goal kick woooooaaaaaaahhh!.
