Could be difficult for us on Saturday. Defensively we are stuggling.
Our normal back four would be:
McKinstry..Dobbins..McLauchlan..White

We might line up:
McKinstry..Kane..White..Creaney

Ian Dobbins OUT
Pat Keogh OUT
Gerry McLauchlan OUT
Kevin Nicoll OUT
Mark Thomas ???/OUT
Stephen Noble ???

Is not looking to good at the moment, would be nice to see us go with three up front and go for the game then wouldn't have to worry about a cover for Dobbins.

We could get an East Fife player on an emergency loan in order to fulfil this task ;)

Played shite today, the ref was atrocious (you'd think we would be used to that  ) but still managed to hit the crossbar 3 times and the normally reliable Hunter missed 2 sitters. oh well, at least no ground lost to Arbroath.

Good three points for us today We played better against Montrose at Stair Park and lost 2-0. We were the better side in the first half with somehow Bonar scoring which is unheard of. We scored a surprising second with a good hooked finish by McConalogue. Then Montrose woke up a bit and created a decent number of chances which Roddy Hunter kept missing which was getting quite funny.
To come away with 3 points with such a patchwork side is a great effort. We even had Stuart McColm from the reserves a south of scotland league striker playing for us up front.

Good result in a bit of a strange game we never really looked like losing but Montrose did seem to have plenty of chances especially late on.
Thanks again to Montrose for their superb hospitality before the game.

No problem, just wish more traveling fans would come up and use the facilities.

Cant believe result today. First half was dire shit. Tade hitting his own cross bar! :o Mo defence fell apart and stranraer score. Second half they get a early goal before the mo batter them till FT. hit bar 3 times. 2 roddy hunter sitters. Ref was shocking , every throw in or goal kick stranraer would take around 5 mins to take. Just has a word everytime. No 2 was a joke rolling about like a fanny the whole game.
Good to chat to Dobby though!

The service insdie the ground were excellent and very friendly :D Also love Links park as a ground with old fashoined terracing behind both goals

Both teams had good chances and either could of won it on thier day but we took our chances well so maybie just deserved it

As for travelling support i thought our numbers were not bad considering the two times MO have been down at Stair park there was no one to be seen :o Also was very noisy away support ;)

Keep up good work Fergie & Knoxie :)

Absolute dire performance today from the boys.
Tade almost scoreing a peach of an own goal was the only joy i got out the first half
2nd half was better and maybe if Roddy wasnt so unlucky could of been a different result
But whoever your number 2 is should be ashamed to call himself a man absolute pansy. Shocking attitued towards the game.
Also a pre match chat from Dobbs was quality top guy who I admire and did explain his reason for moving which i do understand.

thought montrose played okay today the 2 goals they lost were shocking though, fair play to stranraer for taking their chances though.still think we miss woody a hell of a lot no physical presence up front 2 very small players great on the deck but no soo good for headers etc.smokies got beat though so it aint all so bad after all lets hope stenny keep winning.also..............anyone else see scott paterson at the game think he plays for cove now used to be at partick in dundee utd could of just been their watching the game like but who knows ;)

Created enough chances to get something.........................but god the ref was a cheat, the incident at the end when booking mclaren after being taken down by the goalie was awesome.....and also when are we going to do summit about the service at the pie stall IT NEVER MOVES 25 mins to get served then no pies , all this only 7 mins into 2nd half.

Not saying it was worthy of a booking or not as i was too far away but Black had raking stud marks down his thigh after the collision. It just looked more like a coming together. The press guys afterwards thought the mo player seemed to trying to play for the pen and collision rather than trying to get the ball and nip round black.

What a ridiculous statement. Do you think individual referees single out teams like Montrose to cheat against?
He probably had a bad game...
The score remains 4-1 and counting...

Black wasn't in the box. The ref was a bottle job, Black had just been booked so why was he not sent off if the ref saw this as a dive?

Paterson is indeed (or at least was) on Cove's books. He's only played a couple of times this year through injuries (and one of those game he came on as sub and only lasted about 20 mins before being subbed off himself). A number of Cove fans reckon his career may be over, and he's not even been on the bench for a while. As fas as I remember he does part time coaching at Aberdeen, but not sure what his 'day' job is.

Of interest to Mo fans might be that his place in the Cove back four is generally taken now by Eric Watson, Calum's brother, who moved from the Roselea in the summer. He has just won the HFL player of the month. And he is oftern joined at the back by Kevin Tindall, still capable of putting his foot in where required!
