See this as a must win game for us as we will then be 8 points clear of them albeit they have 3 games in hand.
If we play like we did Saturday past then we will get beaten lets hope they get back to playing like they did in the first half against Dumbaton ball on the deck and let the wingers run at them.
Noticed also that the clubs have a gentlemans agreement that Dobbins can't play in this game.

Um, give enough of a shit to have the first reply on the thread. Perhaps you'll find some mates on the 2nd division forum.
Back on topic, i would like to remind any Stranraer fans coming up for the game that the Legends Bar in the stand will be open pre game for reasonably priced refreshments and some free grub!

A draw would be a good result.

Beast Fife? Sounds like one of our friend's from Cowdenbeath on the wind up!
"We need a commercial manager. He would be a more important signing than another player. As for Baikie, he did a lot to drag Arbroath into modern footbal. Many of the improvements, ie Youth manager, Stand improvements etc. came indirectly from Baikie. This is not a slight on Brownlie, but Baikie made the club more professional and madde a big difference on all levels. Come to think of it, what happened to the young lichties club, and our mascot....."

It would be nice to think that we would play like we did on our midweek visit. A draw would not be the end of the world for either team
Dobbins as you say will not feature on Saturday or in a play off game between the clubs if they happen to meet.

Big big game for us, could be trouble with Dobbins out, we only had to fit centre back last week and he has been solid so far. Will wait and see what Saturday brings looking forward to this one.

All going well, there's very chance we could meet Stranraer in the playoffs so this should be an interesting game to see how both sides match up.
given that Montrose have swapped their recent good away form for good home form instead, I'm backing the Mo to win by the odd goal.

I don't see how this is a "must win" game for Montrose as they will make the play-offs comfortably if they are fairly consistant for the rest of the season. However if you play like you did against us, Stranraer will be in for a tough game.

Montrose and Stranraer will almost certainly both make the play-offs and I don't think it matters too much whether a team finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
"Soon there will be a referendum on a whole new relationship between England and Scotland. Have a flutter on it if you like. But you don't often make money, betting against Alex Salmond!"

I agree that it matters not a jot if a team finishes 2nd or 3rd but 4th is a different ball game with the uncertainty of what you are going to get from div 2

Maybe but if they're shit, they're shit and if they're good you'll have to beat them if you want to go up anyway, whether it's in the semis or the final.
Last season we could have finished 3rd or 4th and I can't say I was too bothered about either. Queens Park would have gone up no matter what.

It obviously all comes down to form at the time rather than whether you're 2nd or 4th.

This one will be tough to call i think we are capable of beating MO if we play well on our day but when they play to their best they are a good side but very unconsistant like ourselves
Hope we bring a good wee crowd up and make some noise with our newly bought drum
is There any segregation at Links park or can we stand on the terracing?

There is segregation at the ground but it has only been used against Arbroath this season. There wont be on Saturday but i think another couple of incidents with the young fans may see it introduced permanently in the future.
Edited for typo

I reckon 1-0 Montrose (surprise surprise) Mo fan in Montrose is going to win shocker. Don't think we can play as badly as we did against Forfar. Surely!

Could be difficult for us on Saturday. Defensively we are stuggling.
Our normal back four would be:
McKinstry..Dobbins..McLauchlan..White
We might line up:
McKinstry..Kane..White..Creaney
Ian Dobbins OUT
Pat Keogh OUT
Gerry McLauchlan OUT
Kevin Nicoll OUT
Mark Thomas ???/OUT
Stephen Noble ???
