How do you feel he has changed his style/music?

Talking about it might help you.

This ridiculous 'sell out' argument always makes me laugh.

Who the f**k are you to tell the man what music he can and can't make?
It's my solo party, it's my body, and if I choose to abuse it with my lifestyle and my music
What the f**k! I can't lose! It's my life! Why is it I can't keep you far enough away?

Nah that wont help it'll just make me more angry hope Ashlee Simpson dumps him so he can get back to some decent music writing instead of talkin in kerrang about how love is his best friend(WTF is that all about) What a fud

Im the one who went and seen the fucker 3 times last year! He forgets people pay good money (just to mention ticket prices sky rocketed in the space of months to see them) for their albums and gigs.

People/bands can't write about the same stuff all the time. Blink 182 produced their best material when they stopped writing about giant cocks and wanking into a sock.

There is an old saying that "time heals all wounds", and that everything looks better from a distance,so let yourself grieve, cry, wail or whatever it may be that makes you feel better, and if your emotional distress is something that makes you feel doom or thoughts of death or profound sadness,by all means, seek professional help.

They are brutal.

However some genuinely decent bands have made this same move towards mediocrity from once great heights. Weezer, The Offspring, U2 and even Green Day have become horrible self-parodies.

fixed it for you

admit it, you are emo, at least that's what you wrote in your journal

hardcore fans and emo fans arguing really is the most pointless debate, you may as well go shout at yourself in the mirror.

It's all down to attitude, they all used to say to me. really? I'd swear of all the dozens of emo/hardcore people I've known/derided/shagged (ahh the women in opium bar  ) none of them had enough attitude to take on a prozac junkie.

What does a scanner see? he asked himself. I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner like they used to use or a cube-type holo-scanner like they use these days, the latest thing, see into me—into us—clearly or darkly? I hope it does, he thought, see clearly, because I can’t any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone’s sake, the scanners do better. Because, he thought, if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we’ll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too.

Fall Out Boy have always had a pop/rock/powerpop (whatever you want to call it) sound about them.

The style of bands changes over time. And something that usually goes hand in hand with it are people saying they've sold out as they break into the mainstream.

Fall Out Boy are absolutely shit.

My mate dragged me along to see them a couple of years ago at the Corn Exchange. They were dreadful. The fat front guy can't sing or play the guitar really and that Wentz p***k talked bollocks between every song about how you shouldn't commit suicide. It was the most vile over indulgent piece of jobbie gig i have ever been at.

Terrible band. So bad they make me angry.

I don't think I've ever given Blink 182 the time they so obviously deserve from reading this.

Fall Out Boy....shite! I will however admit that they have a couple of decent tunes (like that Dance Dance one) but on the whole are truly bollocks. And the guy looks like a fucking tosser as well. Is it just him and the ginge in the band? Because any time they appear in music magazines it just seems to be them.

On a slightly related note, if you want sell out then look at Kerrang. Used to be a quality production and had it's finger firmly on the pulse. Now every second week it has Him/Fall Out Boy/My Chemical Romance on the front cover. Laughingly their main feature once was about how Wentz and the singer from Fall Out Boy were 'Rock's Odd Couple'! Pish!
It's a madhouse!!

When Mark David Chapman thought John Lennon was getting a bit pish, he did something about it. Just an idea.

Obviously they won't be everyones cup of tea but their last album did show the band in a different light and was generally well received.

Kerrang is a horrible magazine.

I used to buy Metal Hammer all the time, not sure if its still about but that was a good magazine.
