You do realise that the Allies were at war with Germany and not just those who considered themselves Nazis. Many Geman soldiers despised the Nazis within their ranks. That said the SS was probably one of the toughest fighting units of the time along with being murdering b*****ds. Many of the normal Wehrmacht soldiers hated the SS because they were provided with the best equipment and training. Not to mention the coolest uniforms.

Make no mistake Hitler and his party members were incredibly evil people. On a par with Stalin and his goons (how many deaths was he responsible for?)

I always preferred Mussolini anyway. A slightly gentler sort of maniacal dictator.

Maybe you should look at how he seized power and pay particular attention to the party name

Whether or not he organised his ascent is debatable as later on he did make a lot of bad choices.
