I was there too. I was 8 years old at the time, but I still managed to see the funny side of seeing so many grown men in stone wash jeans crying like wee lassies.

Albert Kidd butt-fucked the Jambos good and proper that day. No foreplay, no lube, just a big cock up the arse of their title challenge.

Seems like a strange thing to take a pride in.

Doesn't bother me much, though. Killie beat us to the title on goal average in the '60s, that doesn't bother me either.

Edit : Might've actually been the '50s. See, bothers me so little that I've forgotten the date.

With the end of our winning run, the injury to Bob Harris (one of our best performers in recent weeks), JT being sent off and not getting a game next week and the fact that Dundee seem to be hitting a good run of form and scoring for fun, do folk think that this puts Dundee in the position of being favourites to win the quarter final?

My head says that Dundee might just be a wee bit too strong for us but I am still hopefull that with a wee bit of luck we can still pull it off, i would just love to go to hampden with the queens. It would be the best moment of my 28 years supporting the queens. I was there when we lifted the challenge cup, and have had mixed emotions over the years as we have gone up and down the leagues, but this would be special. "We know our manners" belting out at hampden, magic!!

But, I'll survive if we dont win, Im used to waking up on the morning after after defeat and thinking, "next week, we will win next week", and eventually it comes true.
One of these seasons we will get to hampden in the cup, one year we will be challenging for the title. We will get our chance. :D

Even if you win, the game might not get played at Hampden. Certainly if either of us drew one of the OF it would be, but a game against either of the Saints, Aberdeen or Hibs would be at a smaller venue I presume.

Pretty sure both semi-finals of the Scottish Cup have to be at Hampden these days. A massive if, but if Saints and Dundee got through, I'd much rather go to Pittodrie or one of the Edinburgh grounds. I enjoyed going to Hampden last year but much preferred the atmosphere at a packed Tynecastle in the League Cup semi-final.

Well I certainly wasn't one of them  .

I know for a fact that a lot of those who went to that game were either Carlisle fans or part time Old Firm supporters.

I`m not so sure it would. As an example wasn`t the Dundee/Gretna semi at Hampden.

The SFA are contracted to use Hampden for the semi-finals.

It's only the League Cup semis that move about based on who's playing.

That'll probably be the part-time supporters who only turn up for games like this and then disappear for the rest of the season.

I was of course being sarcastic. I went about half 3 and was the only person there. I would be very surprised if everyone who wanted a ticket didn't get one.

There's any amount of terracing tickets left.

There are however no seats left for home fans other than a handful of season ticket holders who haven't actually claimed their seats yet (about 40 or so) and maybe the same again in restricted view seats at the extreme ends of the stands where you can't see one or other goal.

There's "restricted" then there's "extracting the proverbial urine"!

I'd hate to have a seat where one of the goals was obstructed. Midfield is bad enough - we've resorted to sitting in the front row when at Cappiellow because it's the only place where you can see past the pillars!

...which is why we don't sell them unless people are absolutely insistent that they'd rather sit and see one goal than stand.

I wouldn't sit in them.

I don't think there are many seats in the East stand with a restricted view. Perhaps the ones right next to the television gantry.

Fir Park has the same problem in it's Main Stand. Have you ever sold any of those seats for a game?

Were the Dundee fans in the top tier behind the goal at Motherwell a few weeks ago? I also thought that was a terrible view and it's quite hard to see the near touchline. Does explain why the stand is so far back from the pitch though.

Morton is bad for it as well and the away section was basically full on Saturday so there must've been folk who couldn't see a goal because of a pillar.

No, we were in the bottom tier.
