Did you know that for every 1 grain of sand in the entire world there are a MILLION stars.
My interesting fact of the day
Here is a fantastic video to show you just how big the universe is. It's the most interesting video I have ever seen. It is like an imaginery spaceship ride from earth to the edge of the known universe.

You all might think I am thick but I have read countless books on astronomy. I am obsessed with it lol

There's one i saw a while back that compares the different bodies in the galaxy to each other. I need to try and find that one again

I know exactly how big the universe is
Really Really Big
Really Really Big
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't
Die, die, die....I can't

I await the 'The Sun - more than a shiny orange hingmy' thread, probably from Larsson.
It's my solo party, it's my body, and if I choose to abuse it with my lifestyle and my music
What the f**k! I can't lose! It's my life! Why is it I can't keep you far enough away?

lol Andromeda the nearest galaxy to ours would take you 5 million years travelling at 186,000 miles per SECOND (speed of light). So getting a bus at 60 miles per hour really would take you trillions and trillions and trillions and trillions of centuries.
If ye leave now ye might just make it

Getting a bus to go over 15 miles an hour would be a good start. We'll have people living on Mars before we can get buses to go faster...

I thought all men were from Mars and the other lot came from Venus?

At one point we will have humans living on mars. One thing we will never be able to do is travel to different galaxy's. According to Einstein nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. So even after some miracle we acheive the speed of light (which really won't happen), we would need to travel for over 5 million years just to reach the NEAREST galaxy.
Unless of course loop holes in space are true and we can exploit them.
Travelling at the speed of light we would get to mars in 10 or 11 minutes.
Travelling to the furthest away planet in the most distant galaxy would take up to 15 billion years.

I have read countless atromony books and not once has anyone of them mentioned that type of radiation.
The speed of things at the atomic level can be misguided. E.g Measuring a travelling proton, considering how tiny it is.
Interesting reading that..
