Is that me then? My mum and dad have never hid anything from me for as far back as I can remember and now we are pretty close. I got to taste alcohol from a young age, only a tiny wee bit mind you, but they didn't make a big thing out of it. Now, I'm 16 in what 12 days. I'm allowed to go to the pub(it's actually a student bar) with my friend, her brother, and all of his mates. Is that acceptable of have I been brought up wrong? Provied either my dad picks us up, my friend's dad picks us up, or we get a taxi <_< . The way I see it is, with my mum and dad allowing me to go out, they know where I am, what I'm doing and who I'm with. If they didn't let me go, they know I would still go but just not tell them. Make up an excuse I'm at a friends or something. So isn't it better I'm allowed to go and they can trust me? Have to say our agreement on alcohol was going all fine and dandy until I came back from a party.....onconcious. Not good. Not clever. And most certainly not smart. I've learnt from my mistake though, and have only been legless once since! hahah! :P

Don't get drunk, it is much more entertaining when everyone else is drunk

Yes. Unless Sky go bankrupt, there is no way Italian football will ever challenge the Premiership again.

AC Milan 4 - 0 Arsenal : 16th February 2012.
Napoli 3 - 1 Chelsea : 21st February 2012

I can only speak from personal experience.

I still haven't grown up. :D

I think I have grown younger as the years have gone on. I'm sure I was more mature and responsible when I was 16 than I am now.

At 15/16 the mose mature people I knew were definately the ones with relaxed parents who don't check up on them all the time. People don't feel the need to misbehave when their young if it isn't seen as being rebelious. Explains why in countries like Holland where their so open about everything they don't have the problems we do, and why expensive school's where the parents are strict as fook always seem to have worse drug problems then trampy schools like the one I went to.

I tend to agree, but that only works if they have instilled decent value systems into the kids from an early age in the first place.

The reason these parents tend to be relaxed is that they are confident their kids aren't going to go out and do something stupid.

Exactly, so is this maturity based on a ratio of adult maturity? :D

If so I was very mature aged 15ish
