Yeah, I'd say it does matter to be honest.

Why does it matter ? they two are finished, over, done with, life goes on and if it's what he wants then i say go for it.

Even though I know that you don't know me....

....you still got me really paranoid trying to think if I had any mates called Stu who supported Hearts etc!

A friend of mine is now engaged to an ex of mine. Ridiculous, but I still get annoyed about it when I see them together (not often, thankfully). I'd never say anything, though. He's a w**ker anyway.

Why do women always say that about their exes?

For you ladies information, we're not sitting there thinking:

"Aw, it's great that she likes me now and doesn't like him!"

we're thinking:

"You went out with him in the first place, you stupid cow!"

As for the topic starter: it's bro's before ho's. Get dave258 to come round and provide the 'muscle'. He looks really scary and not like Steven Hawking much at all. *coughs*
It's my solo party, it's my body, and if I choose to abuse it with my lifestyle and my music
What the f**k! I can't lose! It's my life! Why is it I can't keep you far enough away?

The fact you feel bad about it should answer your question.
Look at you. You're a slippery genius!

f**k sakes. They no longer go out right? therefore he gets no say in what she gets up to with you or anyone else.

Oh, aye, he thought he'd get back togehter with her. Get a grip man and get over it! maybe I'm being harsh but alls fair in love and war and I have no sympathy for any man who mopes for months on the slender hope that him and his ex might get back together again. If that's the case he should never have let it get to the point of them splitting up.

Personally I try never to look back, never get involved with my own exes and have no problems with my mates getting in about them, as they don't about me with theirs on the occasions it's happened (I once swapped birds with my flatmate  )

What does a scanner see? he asked himself. I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner like they used to use or a cube-type holo-scanner like they use these days, the latest thing, see into me—into us—clearly or darkly? I hope it does, he thought, see clearly, because I can’t any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone’s sake, the scanners do better. Because, he thought, if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we’ll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too.

Chicks before dicks is my preferred cliche. If my mate was angry at me cause I was going out with his used produce, I'd think considerably less of him. What a womanish thing to be angry about, he should understand

Yeah, I was completely in love with him at the time. But I've realised how much of a dick he actually is/was.

I ask Karen all the time why she put up with the stuff she put up with for years.

She just shrugs. :o

Totally agree, it makes me think "What sort of shitey judge of character do you have if you went out with such a big w**ker in the first place?!"

yeah most girls I know like to talk negatively about their ex's, It's even worse when that ex is a mate of yours, its like "woah woah woah, fair enough you 2 have issues with eachother but don't bring me into the middle of it he's a mate"

because obviously im capable of doing that myself!

Anyway she asked if I could go round tonight, guess its time to make a decision.

The only ex I talk negatively about his him. I'm very good friends with my other exes. The w**ker was cheating on me - I think I have every right to call him a w**ker, no?

These sorts of things tend to depend on how the relationship ended. If she finished with him and he still had feelings for her, it's the ultimate betrayal in a friendship and one which will probably spoil that friendship. If he finished with her then it's not as bad, and any sort of animosity he shows stems from hurt pride.

Although the length of the relationship is also a factor that comes into play. If they were together for two years, it was a serious relationship and there will undoubtedly still be feeling there on his behalf, whether he admits that or not. In that case, I'd say that you were treading on very thin ice by becoming involved with her.

Finally, you have to assess the likelihood of this budding relationship actually going anywhere. If it's just because she's hot, you fancied her and wanted to f'ck her, then I'd say that you have been a bit of an arse. In that instance, it's not worth losing a friend over. If you really like her though and think it could develop into something serious, then it may be worth the fallout.

It's much better to be single.
