In a reversal of real life I can tame the quicks all over the shop then get tied in knots by the school dinners.

Did you play at all over here?
At last count, I think we've had this conversation about 7 times, but aye, I played from ages 8-13 then got pissed off with it as my team was full of public schoolboy w**ks and I was the only state school person in the team.
Hadn't played since until a few weeks ago, really nice club, good social scene, shame the team is mince! Although it does seem to be mainly artificial pitches here which is a pain in the arse for a spinner. Still, I'm averaging 11 with the ball after 3 games so it's not all bad.
Anyway, as for the game, I see young froggy has taken the lead... I'll have a go later on.

Maybes- it'll depend on where I'm living when I get back and I'll miss the UK summer this year so won't be til 2009 anyway.

Absolute fucking shite.
I was 76 for 2 going into Warne bowling to me. Between him and Embury, they got me out for 81 in the next 3 overs. Fucking w**kers. I hate all Aussies.

Embury's English, and Is also credited with the cracking line

132 for 10. Would have been much better if that wank Embury hadn't taken 5 wickets off me with 6 balls in the 7th over

Emburey and Warne should be feckin shot in this game. How can I tank Hadlee and Lillee all round the park but play like a blind one armed chimp against these two (no matter how good they were in real life - well Warne anyway)

The bastart just did it again, heading for a great score on 88 for 1 and come up against Warne and Emburey for the next 4 innings, it's just not bloody fair!

That Stirling's ground? Wouldn't surprise me, although i played on the junior pitch last year for Strathearn U15's and i thought it was awful. Still got 2 wickets in my 2 overs though.

The top one?
It was a bit dodgy at times but the main pitch was superb, and it has to be considered that both were in their first season.
I'd say 290+ may well be a par score this year if we get a good summer.

Yeah the top one, haven't played on the main pitch so can't comment.
Doo'cot would host Scotland matches if it wasn't owned by the Gannochy trust i reckon.

I'm not so sure, it's a pretty decent ground, but from what I remember (it's been 3-4 years) the pitches weren't anywhere near as good as the likes of the grange. Not to mention parking etc.

Parking would be a problem. The pitches were good this year, the pavilion looks like it could do with a bit of work though. I've only been playing for a couple of seasons so don't know what a lot of other pitches are like.

Amazingly, I have just completed 10 overs where only 1 was out
189 for 1. (Guy caught it from Warnes throw)
I agree, Warne is a c**t aswell as the lad that's after him. If I just made more of the early overs I would have had a very good score!
