The team today was Flockhart, McLean, McGroaty,Henderson, Smith, Murdoch, Fairbairn, McLeish, Diack, Gemmill and Greenhill. Horne replaced McLean after 52 and a Shuffler said Stevenson for Gemmill after 9.

Now that may not have been what we expected our first team to be even three months ago but there's a fair amount of experience there and three new signings the manager clearly believes are good enough or he would not have bought them.

This has a terrible effect on crowds as well, which effects the money coming in, which effects the players you can sign. It's a classic vicious circle of despair.

Diack going is just the final nail in the coffin

He has to go and make it quick.

We have Berwick at home next week, so surely it'll be a 0-0 draw. :(

I was extremely pissed off watching my team get humped today and I made a round trip today of around 2 miles. 9-10 hours of travelling to see your team lose 9 goals? Can't imagine what the Berwick fans who were at the game must be thinking.

After 30 minutes i got a call saying it should be 10 or 11 already.During the 2 minute phone call Peterhead created another 2 chances to score.

Well said, though they're a fairly phlegmatic bunch who will no doubt be drowning their sorrows on the way home.

We were the top joint scorers away from home in the 2nd division today, kinda knocks that arguement on the head.

What was the final Coldstream score?

See what happens when you don't have a drunken bum in charge? Even McAllister scored a goal. :o

Seriously, the Peterhead players were up for it from the off and with the restraints of the long ball - hoof it up the park and hope for the best gone, the team were back to their old passing game getting the ball wide and getting crosses into the box. Berwick were unlucky in that they happened to be the opposition today. Credit to them as they continued to try and play football and didn't resort to any physical tactics apart from the guy who got sent off and who looked out of his depth and a bit of a carthorse. Maybe they weren't physical enough as their manager was screaming at them to "f***ing tackle them".

However I did lose count of the number of times the ball got into the opposition box and it could have been a lot more than nine. The players had a point to prove today and they were first to every ball. An SFL goal scoring record for us following on from the eight we put past Forfar last season. Hopefully we can build a bit of momentum from this win and maybe reach fourth place. A result like this will not do anything for Berwick's confidence and they will struggle to stay up. Diack took his two goals well and looked a quality finisher.

How could a team possibly be that bad? :o

Swanson looks great btw. Got a really bad injury late on today and looks like he'll be out for a while. :(

Glad you like Danny - hope he's not too seriously injured. I wasn't convinced he would make the grade but full credit for Levein for throwing him in, bound to do his confidence the power of good and he is a real confidence player.

How can we be that bad? Trawl through this forum and you will find the answers. Losing our best player to your lot didn't help especially when we didn't have a replacement fixed up.

Yes its a different team from last year, yes we have a new manager, yes we have a lot of injuries but at the end of the day, we were going down from day one.

And I will say what everyone is thinking but afraid to say -

There was a complete lack of judgement in seeing that the squad was not good enough or big enough to compete in the most competitve league in Scottish football, (six possible promotion spots and two relegation).

Possibly a little harsh we did have the basis of a good team but the signings were not good enough and letting McNicholl becomes a worse decision by each passing game. I could see the logic behind it but it was clearly an atrocious decision, and we should have looked at resigning him given the obvious defensive frailties all season.

What is really concerning is how can we convince anyone to join in the current position and the thrid looks even more competitive this year which means we have to hit the ground running next season, assuming we do go down.
An unbeaten run to the end of the season might save us. :D

A 9-2 defeat, I'm sorry there has to be no excuses from here on in. It's embarrasing and even Alan Green was making appeal on 606 for fans to ring in and ask were Peterhead that good or were Berwick that bad.

We have a manager that is completely out of his depth. Anyone who hides behind the injury situation is as big a fool as the people that are making all these excuses. If Renwick has any balls he resign tonight before he makes an even bigger laughing stock of this great club.

Now we'll see how the trio that are calling all the shots deal with this latest disaster. This is the second biggest defeat in the club's history. If they don't act on this debacle they certainly don't give a toss about the future of the club.

The policy of throwing in kids is simply not going to work and frankly if we keep going down the route we are currently going we'll be sinking into the drains of Scottish Football. We'll struggling in division three next season at the rate we're going.

I couldn't agree more. Even more so galling when Grant has been training with the squad for the past two months and it appears as though no move has been made a move to offer him a deal. He's got black & gold blood running through his veins, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance if he was offered it.

He's also been at the last two home games, sign the bloke up now. Unless those in charge get a fuckin grip soon Berwick are in danger of becoming the new Shire. :(
