If I was a Stranraer fan I would not be happy with that referee. The first penalty was soft but possibly technically correct. Montrose's penalty was an outrageous decision. The pass back was one of these that you shout for more in hope than expectation...

The standard of refereeing throughout Scottish football these days is terrible. Having watched SPL and div one games as well as ours in the third, the standard is consistently poor.

Some terrible decisions in that game but I remember the last time we played Montrose, the ball was going out but hit the corner flag and stayed in, Gibby whipped in the loose ball with the Montrose full-back sleeping and Tade scored. The ball never left the field of play but the ref pulled play back and made it a contested bounce-up on the touchline. Outrageous.

Although we dominated the game you've still got to put your chances away when they come which is something that Mullen was unable to do.

Have to say looking at the video Montrose had 3 good chances and scored 2 and that's what it's all about. If Stranraer had scored the pen and put one of their many chances away then they would be philosophical about the poor ref and we would be bitter.

Think we all have been chief. We stated the ref was mince but you scored your chances, no sour grapes from Stair Park.

Despite what happened to the German tourist (nothing to do with Stranraer folk by the way it was a travelling vagrant) we actually still get slightly more of them than we get Montrose fans for games at Stair Park.
