Absolutely pathetic from our point of view. We simply have no confidence whatsoever at the moment and are lacking the type of player who is up for a fight. Fair play to Morton who took advantage of our ineptitude however they looked far from great too.

Just finished listening to todays game and despite the efforts of our captain we managed to record a much need victory. Delighted with the result and hopefully we can now kick on and go on a decent run. Although we still desperately need a CB to replace Greacen - who is a total liability.

Bollocks. The thing that annoys me most is that, after the Celtic game, we will have nothing to play for until August.

I was going to go along today, but given our current form and the terrible game up at Forthbank earlier this season i decided to give it a miss.

No doubt we will get pumped on Saturday at Livi as I will be going.

Had to work today do actually missed todays game... though i am delighted with the result even if we did play pish, that brings the Dunfermline game to mind when they played pish and came away with the win...

Anyone know how McGuffie played today?

Took his goal well but otherwise as anonymous as the other 21 players on the park. :(

Pulled the strings today...

He is the difference from you guys battling in the play offs and finishing mid table, cracking signing!

We were dreadful today...on another day though we could have scored 5 or 6...confidence just isnt there right now and we look like a team that has accepted relegation already :(

truely terrible game of football, two teams who looked void of confidence, much idea and ability. Both tried their best to gift the other chances, but you were slightly better at taking advantage of our gifts. McKenna's miss from Greechan (think it was him) gift sums our season up.

We are down, think you could see how importent the result was for Morton team and must be a relief for the fans to realise there is actually a team worse than you in the league. In all the games we have played against each other from div 3 days i question whether there has been one with such poor quality. Yes the conditions were dreadful, but todays there was vrtually nothing, its gona be a long few months ahead for us. Credit Morton who wanted it that little bit more and to be fair had a little bit more spark and drive going forward.

Ps does anyone have photage of Lilley when he was the 'alledged' player years ago. Have Ton fans ever seen a former hero or for that matter anyone who was once a cracking player look so bad?

what a shit game of football, wished i had just stayed in the house. Morton werent very good, stirling were just slightly worse. Greacen must be singled out for he is the worst player i have seen for years, the amount of mistakes this guy makes in one game is unbelievable, which include tackling our own players, never finding one of our players with a pass, being out of position most of the time etc etc. but then again that just shows up our managers lack of footballing knowledge, like how he never takes peter off although he does little for the team. We didnt deserve 3 points today, but then again stirling were that little bit poorer than us today.

It was a poor game but Morton played most of the football that was on offer. Kevin Finlayson going down the right wing caused problems for Stirling all afternoon. Stirling's goal was well worked but that's about all that they did. Any other problem we had was down to our own bad defending and much as I like big Greacen as an honest trier, today he had an absolute nightmare, especially in the first half.

Second half was mostly Morton and our winner was a good goal from the best bit of football in the game. McGuffie I thought had a solid enough game but did not impose himself as much as I thought he would. Nonetheless, he's a strong lad and will bolster our midfield.

When Jamie Stevenson came on in the second half he was clearly a class act and better than most of the players on the pitch. Its good to have him back from injury and he has to start next week!

The outcome though was another defeat for Stirling and it looks like it will take a miracle to revive their season. I think that there are now six clubs playing to avoid the play off spot with not much to choose between us, Clyde, Thistle, Livvy, Queens and Dunfermline.
I plan on living forever! So far, so good!

I'd say in my biased opinion that we just edged Stirling today, but I don't think we deserved 3 points.
The first half was without doubt the least exciting or entertaining spectacle of the season so far.
Stirling lack confidence and we lack competence at the back.
We have to play far better to be secure - the Stirling of last season would have horsed us.
Still, a goal-scoring midfielder who isn't a midget: we may yet be onto something new here. :)

I couldn't care if McGuffie couldn't score goals  I just didn't want another midget

I thought McGuffie had a decent game today. He made a few daft judgements, especially at a free kick, when he ran at the ball before it was even kicked earning him a booking. He took his goal well though and certainly looks like the center mid we've lacked for a long time.

The game itself was cack.We created very little and had one chance in the whole of the first half which Weatherson should really have scored. Its three points at the end of the day and its keeps us away from the play-off place for now,a win long overdue though.

I agree with that mostly. The first half was completely forgetable except for our dire defending which a better team would have punished. In terms of creating, I thought we were a lot better in the second half and were easily the better team. Finlayson and McAnespie and Stevenson all put in a lot of very decent crosses which we could'nt capitalise on but football is a confidence game and ours has been quite low. A decent result on Saturday and everything in the garden will be rosy again.
