Amazingly, I disagree with all this talk that Montrose didn't play THAT well! Thought they did exactly what they needed to do, and couldn't have gone about it any better! :o

Don't worry Simon, them all saying "we didn't play well" is no surprise because a) they'd rather be negative, i.e. they'd rather that we were crap as opposed to them being good; B) they're Montrose fans and they know that a drubbing isn't far away for themselves, so they never want to talk themselves up for fear that they'll get a load of abuse after.

Agreed but the facts of the game are that Arbroath literally gifted several of Montrose's goals. And this is the third time in the month that our defence has collapsed to concede 4 or more bad goals in a short space of time.

Of course Montrose fans should enjoy their first win in 10 encounters.
Supporting Arbroath = the best of all possible worlds. Gayfield Park = stairway to heaven. The team and fans = the worst in the league, apart from all the others. Everything is rosy in our garden

We are 'all' saying you didn't play well because you didn't. Would you say that Arbroath played well on Saturday? If you do, then I would query if you were at the game. I would say that we played better against the Shire last saturday than we did on Wednesday, but because Arbroath played infinitely sh*ter than the Shire, we scored more goals. We played okay on Wednesday and made the most of the conditions in the first half, don't get me wrong, but we have played better this season.

I'd query if you were at the game because we didn't play on Saturday :smartass Perhaps you can't see through you're shite-tinted specs, but the fact that "we didn't play well" is very different to "we didn't have to play well", and you all seem to be dwelling on the former, which would be the more negative vista. Perhaps you should update your views to agree with me.

So caught up in the delirium of a long awaited victory over Arbroath that I forgot what day it was played on :o . We didn't play well and thankfully we didn't have to. I was merely disagreeing with an above post by a Montrose fan that said we had played 'brilliant from start to finish'.

What's worse, one Mo fan slavering pish, or one Arbroath team playing pish?

im still delighted!

i would disagree with those who said everyone on the park was excellent, have to say that dobbins shouldnt be playing in midfield and cumming shouldnt be playing full stop

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Having said that if you continually hound certain individuals at every opportunity it will have an effect on their performance! Supporters have short memories, this time last year we were truely awful and nothing to play for! Let's get behind all the players and enjoy the good times! Although some Mo fans are never 'appy unless they have something to moan about!

Simon seems to be obsessed with why McLeod didn't get sent off on Wednesday. Probably the same reason as why Tully didn't get sent off, the ref was being consistent-hard to believe but true.

:o

Don't say that, he'll get promoted to referee in the higher divisions.

Fair point. Thought Tully might have walked myself.

The referee was undeniably shocking, but I fought it hard to get worked up about him given that I was witnessing such a diabolical performance from our team. That was kind of my main concern.
