First half we looked good and scored with just about our first attack, nice header from Burchill.
Next 20 minutes we played them off the park and should have had a penalty and possibly they should have had a player sent off for a cynical foul to stop Morrison hitting the ball into an empty net.
We got a deserved second with a close range effort from Simmons, Hogarth should have saved and looked dodgy throughout.

Second half we totally switched off and Stirling come out all guns blazing.
Our midfield disappeared and Albion ran rings around the likes of Crawford and Simmons.
Terrible decision to bring Stevie on unless Glass was injured, we needed a battler not a ponce.
Stirling scored a fantastic goal after some nice passing and a long range effort sneaking in the corner.
They then should have equalised, but Gallagher made a great block to save us.
For some bizarre reason Burchill was then subbed for McManus and we went to one man upfront with McIntyre on the wing??
Stirling deserved at least a draw, looked much fitter and were well organised.
I will take another lucky win but our luck is going to run out sometime.

McIntyre and Robbo are not the men for the job/s.

The wrong team definitely took all three points today.

Still if we can't win on the park, it's always nice to be entertained off it - by the Pars Fans.

Looks like we're marooned and doomed but great to see us making such a good fist of it today.

One final note - WTF happened with the Forsyth / McManus incident - either McManus gubbed him and should have seen red or Forsyth was play acting and should have seen yellow. The one outcome not possible was for no card to be produced.

I have to say that in the few weeks McIntyre has been in charge, the team have picked up nearly as many points as Kenny did for all the time he was in charge. I think McIntyre deserves his own choice of assistant. Robertson I have nothing personal against but he retains a "staleness" of a failed regime. Time for him to cut his teeth elsewhere.....

Don't know what we have to do to get a victory. First half pars shaded possesion and got two goals from one in the first couple of minutes of the half and one in injury time of the first half they deserved to be in the lead but bye no more than one goal IMO.

second half all Albion totally outplayed the Pars with some great attackink football, we got a goal back with a crisp drive from Aitkin early in the second half we had numorous chances to equilize but the ball just wouldn't go in the net.

the pars had one shot at goal in the second half and that was in the 90th minute, the binos deserved to win this game but just couldn't put the ball in the net, and that at the end of the day is what itv is all about.

man of the match for the Binos and IMO best player on the park today it has to be steven bell. for the tha pars it has to be there keeper as he had a couple of good saves that one the game for them.

You were obviously not at the same game - we had the game won by half time. Glass injured so gets subbed - so our creativity was stifled after half time. And you get a consolation that could have gone anywhere on another day...

As for the McManus incident - he got headbutted in the chest (maybe not quite Zidane style). Puts his open hand in Forsyths face - who then goes down like a sniper has taken him out. It should have been your player seeing at least yellow. As for the tackle through the back it should have merited a straight red in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure who the men would be, as it is the players running the club at the moment.
Robertson seems to be picking the tactics still as we continue with the long balls.
I suppose if McIntyre is enough to keep them happy enough to perform to keep us in the league then give him till the end of the season.
The whole lot needs cleared out, I thought only Harris, Gallagher and possibly Woods looked the part today.

I think you are being harsh on Stirling second half they completely outplayed us and we had to resort to playing one upfront to cope.
They were running from their penalty box to ours without a challenge.
I dont know how they are bottom because in the two times we played them at EEP they deserved at least a draw in both games.

In the second half we dominated and our goal was neither (at the time) merely a consolation and it was also a great strike. We had at least 4 other good chances and Hogarth didn't have a single save to make.

Oh and humble as your opinion may be it still stinks.

Its odd Thistle have been pummelling teams in games and getting nothing. Dunfermline seem to be getting pummelled and doing smash and grab acts going on reports from games.

For me the first half was even and a two goal Dunfermline lead was a joke. Second period we bombarded the Pars and the entire 45 minutes seemed to be played in the Pars half. Overall we had twice as many attempts at goal and it was the home side who were reduced to some fairly pathetic time wasting in the last five minutes. Overall we deserved at least a point and anyone who says otherwise must have been watching the match through a post Christmas alcoholic haze

DAFC(the poster) you seriously need to take a look at yourself
First of all what about Burchill, Mcglinchy and Hamilton all played quite well
secondly you make it sound as though stirling were constantly coming extremely close, i can think of one time where i thought they had a really good chance of scoring but then early in the second we had a great chance of scoring aswell.
For all the possesion stirling had they really did not do much with it. Stirling did not deserve to win. A draw might have been a fairer result.

If it wasn't for an outstanding save from Gallagher it would have been 2-2, they also had other close things, running through us at will.
There was only one team trying to win the game in the end.
Were you at the Thistle game where we adopted the same negative tactics and then lost a goal?
I think that you are the one that needs to take a good look at the supposed SPL players getting ripped to pieces for 45 minutes by a part time team.

I was at East End Park and I live locally hence I was able to post soon after full-time. You must be one of those glory hunting Albion fans who lives in Fife. Or do you fly to games? Or are you a P&B ddict who takes their 3G laptop to games?

Fallen Angel it was Declyn Devine that was put on Gardening leave i'm afraid, Robertson is reported to have come down with flu or some sort of illness prior to the Morton (or was it the Partick) game. You are right though, French has been in the dugout and deserves credit for things as well.

As for the game, i think a draw would have been fair, although i must say it was just. I think now fellow Pars fans can see why i want Moore to be put in charge and soon, although i know it isn't going to happen.

I thought Gallagher, McGlinchey and Bell were the best players on the park today. Still i don't care how we get there but it's another 3 points, keep them coming.

Aye, we're maybe down, but to say we're 'simply not good enough' doesn't tell the whole story. Only once this season have we been outclassed (Hamilton away by all accounts). We've never had the breaks all season, mainly because we're not streetwise enough at this level. Today I watched the Albion tear Dunfermline to shreds in the 2nd half, and only 2 really good Gallacher saves and pretty woeful forward play by Lilley and McKenna saved the Pars. Bear in mind we're a part-time team playing away to a side who were playing in the SPL last season. One week a team will take a real doing from us. It may all be too little too late, but we've shown we're at least equal of most of the teams in this league.

First half I thought we were quite comfortable without stretching ourselves. 2nd half we were an absolute shambles! Glass going off and playing Crawford in the centre of midfield was the difference as Stirling ran right through us time after time. We were lucky to hold on to the win in the end as Stirling deserved at least a point.

Still, as has been said previously, it's all about putting the ball in the back of the net. It's certainly wasn't pretty to watch but a win is a win.

As for McIntyre getting the job, it's a results business and he's been getting them, deserved or not, so I think he might just be doing enough in the board's eyes.

As has been said, we were fairly comfortable in the 1st half and I felt we deserved the 2 goal lead. Should have had a penalty as well.

2nd half though, we were terrible. Stirling completely outplayed us and were unlucky not to get level. I think a draw probably would have been a fair result but we managed to sneak another win which is the most important thing. We've played better this season and not got the breaks and it seems to be the complete opposite at the moment.

Livi away on Wednesday will be tough as they're probably the best team we've faced this season, but if we get a result then I can't see past McIntyre for the job.

From our point of view, first half was fine, we took the chances we created and looked fairly comfortable. Second half was awful, Stirling dominated and deserved at least a draw. If McIntyre gets the job after these performances, our board are more clueless than I thought.

That's 3 times I've seen Stirling now and they've impressed me every time. They had some great attacking moves in the second half and if they can keep playing like that they'll surely start to get a few wins soon.

Been saying that for weeks now, but the wins just don't materialise.

That said, our next nine are arguably more winnable than the last nine, so who knows. With Morton on a bad run, Wednesday's game is massive. If we can eek out a win there, it could kickstart our season.

Ehm, correct me if I'm wrong. The simple rules of football is if you can score more goals if any, more than your opposition, you win the game.

The Pars are currently going through a mighty injury crisis just now and in transition. We might not win the league this season but just watch your back. See you at Dung Hill for the cup game.............It'll be a feckin laugh if any!

I would agree with that. Dunfermline probably had the better possession in the first half but other than the strike before half-time, which was a very well worked goal, created little. The opening goal was almost entirely down to dreadful defending; Paul Hay simply watching the ball bounce on the six yard line allowing Burchill, who I thought had a good game, to poach in and head home. Horrible, horrible goal to concede.

Gallagher was outstanding in the second half. His saves from Bell and particularly McKenna were top drawer. That said we probably could have created more given the ineptitude of Dunfermline's defending. At the moment we really lack width and continually resort to playing down the centre, where Bell has been very good.

If Lilley was a yard quicker or Bell or Aitken had taken better touches in vital positions then we could easily have won this game.

We seem to keep waiting for something to click and, although we're not playing at all badly for the most part, you can't win one game in nineteen simply due to badly luck, surely?

McIntyre's tactic of bringing McManus on to play in an offside position were baffling to say the least. He was exceptionally lucky to stay on the field when he clearly pushed Forsyth in the face and, although the Albion player made the most of it, a red card should surely have been the end product? Otherwise the referee had a decent afternoon I thought.

Enjoyable afternoon all round and its nice to have a new figure of hate

PS. the catering was phenomenal - macaroni pies and steak bridies were excellent. However, the lass at the shop looked attractive from a distance but had a mustache; that's not cool.

PPS. almighty injury crisis or not does it not worry Dunfermline fans that with so many relatively high profile players in the side that they are not controlling games? The strikeforce of McManus, Hamilton, McIntyre, Crawford and Burchill probably earns more than our starting eleven combined.
