Good to see our upturn in fortunes continue today with a hard earned win up at Balmoor today.

The windy conditions made things difficult for both sides and despite playing against the wind Brechin probably looked the more dangerous.

The floodlights cut out after about 15 minutes but the problem was resolved and about 10 minutes later they were back on.

Peterhead took the lead when a cracking cross from the right hand side was headed into the corner by Stuart McKay.

City continued to battle though and Darren Smith skinned two players down the left before supplying a fantastic low cross for Calum Smith to slide into the net.

The floodlights went off again at half time and second half started 15 minutes in.

City took full advantage of the wind in the second half and Darren Smiths cross from the left wrong footed the keeper and ball hit the post and in.

Peterhead really struggled and failed to test Nelson, and other than a few great moves, one of which should have been headed in by Adam Nelson, City were content with playing balls forward and holding the ball up.

Delighted with the result and I'm glad things are starting to eventually go our way. Most of this season we've had awful luck and most of our draws really should have been wins, but now we're starting to prove that we aren't the 2nd worst team in the league, and that a climb up the table is just round the corner, hopefully.

Laugh of the day had to be when Bobby Mann was awarded man of the match by the sponsors, the useless oaf was just a waste of space and constantly tugged and fouled our players because he couldn't keep up with them. Also, that very ugly left back (Iain Good) is worse than Gary Neville at stealing yards at throw ins.

Just when Berwick are on a reasonable run, the team we're trying to catch up are doing even better

We should have won that game as well. Luck deserted us that day, and has done for most of the season. Thankfully we're starting to get a rub of the green and I'm very confident ahead of the Ayr match on Saturday.

Good to see us starting to climb the league. I don't think its related to luck. The fact that we are playing a settled team for the last 4 games and players who are all working hard for the team and battling for the points. Playing some good football at the moment and I think playing King upfont is just what we needed and with young Smith up front beside him we look to have a good partnership at last. Midfield is also looking a bit more balanced as well.

Fusco has been doing well in the last few games he has been involved in. He was injured for quite a while but now has made a big difference in midfield with his inclusion. Getting better with every game that I've seen.

fair play to brechin ,they are a team on the up.
as for us it was one of our shite days which seem to be many,i think pele might be feeling a little heat if things dont improve quickly

As has already been said, Fusco's been injured for much of the season but in the past month or so he's been given a run out in the team and he's been tremendous. He's a good passer of the ball, isn't afraid to go in for tackles and wins plenty of headers due to his height. He's made a real difference to the team in my opinion, and with Ward on the verge of return things are getting better.

Good footage there although it doesn't really reflect how the game went. Cracking cross by Stuart Anderson for Peterhead's opener, tremendous effort by Callaghan and how Adam Nelson missed that header I will never know.
