Idiocy.
That's me bored for the rest of the day now.

Bloody xmas shopping malarkey I'll have to endure now. Might actually go to Firhill or another game, I'll see how it goes.

Even Dumbarton have managed to keep their game on and they have no cold or wet weather facilities for their pitch at all.
Either the ref has bottled it or thinks players have soft knees, I doubt this game would have been called off 20 years ago.
This farce makes it more definite that the new type of astro turf must be fitted to all league football pitches in Scotland as it means 24 hours x 365 days a weeks football no matter what the weather.

The answer is obvious - the ref has still to get something for his wife's Christmas, and time is running out. Simple really.

perhaps you should bother to put the covers down BEFORE it freezes?
you know, like most other football clubs do.
then again Clyde seem to be going for a first division record. Surely Clyde Vs Stirling on a cold midweek night is going to provide us with a record low attendance. Shit why not just solve the fixture with a game of paper, rock and scissors in a pub somewhere. It would be warmer and you'd probably get more people turning up for it.

And what day would that have been? Last Sunday perhaps - possibly Monday. Too early to predict a week long frost. In which case are you suggesting that clubs put down covers throughout winter. I can really see that not damaging the pitch. D'oh.

Aye and being frozen rock solid does wonders for the pitch.
The covers should go on if it's going to freeze and you've got a home game in the next couple of days.
Surely that's common sense. Sorry, I forgot this is Clyde FC I was talking about.

Well it's a pretty fucking stupid place to have a stadium then if the pitch is frozen rock solid for weeks on end isn't.

Clyde didn't do their homework - not the first club caught out and won't be the last.
In saying that, it probably cleared up by 3pm anyway.
