We've loaned you utility player Dean Keenan, no conformation of the length of the loan but he should be in your squad for tomorrow.

In his time with us he's played both full back positions, centre back and centre midfield so he should give you plenty of options. Likes to get stuck in, although his passing isn't the greatest.

This is excellent news, what we need is someone who is going to make some tackles, contest some 50/50 balls.

I don't care if he can't pass, if he tries he'll be better than 90% of our squad.

I'd play him as a holding midfielder and tell him to break c**ts legs. :)

What the f**k! I can't lose! It's my life! Why is it I can't keep you far enough away?

Huzzzah a defender that likes to tackle.

He should do the job and is properly better than all of our current defenders.

do you think he COULD become permanent?

I would say there's a possibility Andy. He's been with us since 2002, and has never been a regular in the team, so this is most likely a make or break season. He;s out of contract in the summer also I believe.

He has a reputation for being as daft as a brush, so i'm sure he'll fit in nicely

Ahhh well then he'll fit in perfectly with Williams,Moore and Mclaren. B)

There was always one league i knew we were going to top this season... the disciplinary one.

Dean Keenan is a terrible footballer, the only thing he will offer you is a belter big hard tackle once a game. He is horrible with the ball at his feet, he can't pass to save himself, his marking is ugly, he is nothing in the air and he just tends to run about like a heedless chicken

In my opinion you's can have him forever.

I don't like him one bit, i've heard he's a nice guy tho haha.

Alot of Morton fans like him cause he gives a bit of " Dig " but his overall play is shocking. Im not trying to play down the 2nd division here but he may have " just " found his level in div 2

Sometimes I just feel as though I'm wasting my time with you people.

Anyway, so you don't like the player. Great. maybe I'll do a wee dance around my dining room.

He's not terrible, I would describe him as limited. He played in the first 8 or so games this season at holding midfield due to our injury problems and he did ok in my opinion. As has been stated before, he has boundless energy and is a tough tackler, sometimes goes over the top but never shirks at tackle. He is very good in the air for someone who is not that tall, and has been our reserve skipper for the last 2 seasons.

Fair enough stevie, i just don't rate the boy but as i stated above alot of morton fans do tend to like him as alot are like me and are happy to see the back of him.

It will be interesting to find out how he gets on with you boys.

Good luck to him en all that.

He's honest, hand-working and doesn't hide when things go against him, so no matter how talented a footballer he is he'll always give 100%. You can't ask for much more.

For whats its worth, I dont rate him much either, just think it's better to look at his positives rather than just say 'glad to see the back of him'

I can't disagree with his commitment as he does try his best and never hides from a tackle but at the end of the day his overall play is pritty poor.

I hope he does well for Ayr and i would like to see Ayr get back to winning ways, always enjoyed a wee trip down the coast.

I take it these were all first touches?

If he tries then he is already better than what we have got. Would have been nice to get a midfielder that can play football, but beggers cant be choosers!

This is exactly what you will get from Dean - nothing more, nothing less.
110% commitment overshadowed by 15% ability.

TBH I'm disappointed that we've let him go as our current holding midfielder has been utter cack lately; Keenan was better when he was in the team IMO. Far from great with the ball at his feet, but willing to get stuck in and never hides.

As one who has watched the second division for more years recently than I should, Keenan will be a stand out second division holding midfielder who might even make the step up when Ayr get there eventually (as they almost certainly will). At present he struggles in the first division but is too good for the second. Hopefully Ayr can bring him on.

I also expect that he will become an Ayr player in the summer.
I plan on living forever! So far, so good!

Is he any better than Casey though? Time will tell I feel, obviously Brian Reid thinks he'll offer us something Casey doesn't. Either that or he's seen as the person to plug the gaping holes in the wing-back positions.

Based on the Morton fans' opinions of him, he'll be a utility player, nothing more or less. Still, as has been said, as long as he is committed to the cause he'll do - he's already unlike any other in the Ayr team apart from Williams!

Ryan Stevenson carried off on a stretcher with Marvin Andrews laughing at him apparently. Not a very nice man for a God-bothering homophobe bigot is he?

Selective qouting I know, but please clarify Monster...
