Looking forward to the game after getting back to winning ways last week.

Paul Tosh still suspended which will hopefully mean a starting place for Andy Reilly.

What the Albion fans thinking?

Looking forward to this as well as it's an away trip I enjoy. The recent games through there have been quite entertaining as a rule and it's been a fairly happy hunting ground of late.

Don't know how much I'd read into the fact that we got back to winning ways last week, as we did have a two man advantage for a fair part of the match. That said, we were crying out for a win no matter how it came about and hopefully it will give us a wee boost.

Reilly certainly deserves to start as he did well last week, and I think he'd be right to feel a bit agrieved if he's benched again.

Get the feeling that we are due a wee win over the Lichties, hopefully tommorow will be a game which we can capitalise on our game in hand. Let's hope that last weeks true grit & determination is evident from the first whistle.

Come On The Vers!

We could be in deep shit if we get beat with regards to playoffs.

:D It had just about everything 7 goals including a penalty and an o.g.

2 up but letting Arbroath come back to 2-2 then going on to win 5-2.

I'm quite happy tonight.

The thing that disappoints me most was that Albion didn't have to work too hard for their goals.

1st goal - free header
2nd goal - midfielder able to run right through our porous defence
3rd goal - midfielder given too much room to turn and shoot (superb strike though)
4th goal - keeper spilling free-kick to forwards feet
5th goal - well worked, but in the move barely had a tackle to avoid

We played for about 10 minutes, between our first goal and half time, and scored a couple of decent goals, although Rennie's maybe wasn't meant :P

This week has seen the league close up a ridiculous amount, and it really looks like any 3 from 7 for the playoffs (with Stranraer and Montrose strong favourites) and if we want to stay involved, something has to change. 8 points from our last 8 games isn't enough.

We were a shambles again.

We simply can't defend at the moment and I'm struggling to recall the last time our midfield controlled a game. That second half performance was just diabolical.

Rovers were far and away the better side as the scoreline reflects, and there 3rd goal was an absolute beauty which drew applause from a fair few Lichties. It would have been churlish not to.

Not good.

Let's not forget that it stemmed from us losing possesion from a stupidly slack free kick from Sellars (I think).

I'm at a loss as to what happened with our 2nd goal. Myself and practically everyone I spoke to thought it had gone under the side netting, and there did seem to be a delay before any of our players celebrated. Having said that, no Rovers players complained so.......

Delighted with todays thriller at Cliftonhill :) !

Arbroath, well they provided average opposition to be completely honest, i'm sure Lichties fans agree  .

The game highlights something about the 'Vers this season, we have all of the attributes necessary to score a barrel-load of goals, but the defence & goalkeeper can on occasions be under the kosh and up for criticism.

Good Result & Amazing Passion from The 'Vers players latterly in the game, that's all we ask!

Big Game Yet Again At Forfar Next Week, Should be a Christmas Cracker!

You wouldn't be saying that if you saw us today. In fact, given the way we've played the past two months I'm astonished we are still 3rd.

Have only seen Arbroath this season in the games against the Mo, but on the basis of those two, you should be a stronger bet for the play-offs. However it seems that when we slip-up you've done likewise.

Rovers had a better attitude and, apart from when we pulled level, were hungrier and more determined throughout the team. Solid enough in defence, despite their reputation and creative in attack. Reflects well on their manager too and great for the home fans

But, as the man said, you can't keep offering gifts (four out of the 5) and hope to get a result. We did have reasonable possession throughout but weren not able to use it. First time I've seen Lichties lose at Cliftonhill and I've been to quite a few games.

Our first priority must be getting our defence functioning again since there's a pile of difficult games coming up. But that attitude problem among some players also needs to be sorted.
No need to panic
Supporting Arbroath = the best of all possible worlds. Gayfield Park = stairway to heaven. The team and fans = the worst in the league, apart from all the others. Everything is rosy in our garden
