i think benfica will come out all gun blazing for them to get that uefa cup place, and u ll need them to, cause even tho milan have nothing to play for other than pride from losing to u's the first time, i still think u's will get beaten by them, but u's did manage a draw away there the last time

I think we're definately within touching distance, though with a manager like Strachan in charge you can never rule out the possibility of getting a point in Milan. Remember that they've already qualified and have the World Club Championship game the following week, they might want to rest some of their better players. Wouldn't that be fantastic?

Still would be tough against their backups though, but I think Benfica can do us a favour

I can see Celtic going through. Hope you don't, though.

Let me just emphasise this fact - Milan have a grand total of ZERO wins at home in Serie A this season.

Okay, they gubbed Shaktar but I don't see any reason why Celtic can't go there and get a draw. They did it last season after all, with a poorer team.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. Much of a muchness and arguably last season’s team in Milan were more settled than the team next week will be given that our centre backs chop and change, we have Caldwell at right back and god knows who at left-back.

Milan will want revenge for the Parkhead game and Shaktar should beat Benfica.

Celtic out I'd say.

Italian teams are notorious for performing poorly once they have qualified. I don’t think for a minute that they will be going into the game with the same attitude or desire than they would had they not already qualified.

Have they not got a big game against Juve between Celtic and playing in the World Club Championships as well?

Shakhtar will beat Benfica so you'll need to get something in the San Siro

If you do then well done and deserved I say

I'm not sure Milan will relax. If Celtic were to win would Milan not face a tougher knock out tie because of finishing as Runners Up in their group i.e. they will play one of the group winners? I'm not totally sure about that though.

Certainly Milans Home record in Serie A is pish. Four wins and two draws. Not good. Can see Celtic getting something.

Wishful thinking really.

Look at what happened to Georgia and Scotland.

Celtic are terrible away and Milan are, well Milan and at home.

It certainly isn’t wishful thinking that Italian teams, once qualified, take their foot off the pedal.

Its a tough game but I think we can get a draw. The law of averages says that we have to perform well in an away game at least once, and I think this might be the time to shine for Celtic.

That said, I can see Benfica and Shakhtar drawing to make it much easier for us.

We will need to play a lot better than we did last night to have any chance.
