Classic Archy from the other week:

"And he........passes it to.......him"

Wasn't it also Archie who made a comment about Makalamby spreading his body across goal like a monkey :o .

The best thing about being dead is you no longer have to say "I wish I were dead".

The best thing about being alive is you can still say "I wish I were dead".

I can remember way back in the 80's there was a workshop for U16 keepers in Inverness every summer run by Les Fridge and Campbell Money.I wont say exactly what year cos it will show up what an auld bugger I am. Was always good fun and at the end there was a QnA session. Some lad asked CM if there was anyone he didnt like in Football and without missing a beat he replied ' Archie McPherson - he's a clueless c**t!' Cue every body pashing themselves and agreeing....20 years on and he's still bloody at it.

Is it me or is McPhersons reign as a commentator at an end.

Like me do you think he is the worst commentator in europe. The amount of time he ststes the obvious, waxes lyrical about the new word he has just looked up and "How many times does he say "I think" during commentries. e.g When ball goes out of play the supercillious twat will say "I think the ball is out of play, usually several years after referee has blown the whistle. (Well done Sherlock
) you twat. So c'mon llets petition the bbc to get him off the telly completely, hopefully he will be put out to grace quietly.

Archie's a legend. Who the f**k takes commentary seriously anyway?? your taken this too far mate.

Noone listens to commentators anyway so don't worry

I personally would love to hear Archie commentate after having my ears violated by the man Tommy Smyth (wit a wuy) for the last 18months, anyone who has had to endure the man must feel the same way I warn you now anyone going to New Zealand or Australia (I believe he also commentates in the US) turn ESPN to mute!! I miss u Archie

None of Archie's comments can match up to Scott Booth's legendary : "It may be Ramadan, but Zemmamma's looking hungry today".

I really dont think its a case of Archie losing his marbles because lets be honest, he made loads of mistakes even in his prime (back in the 1860's).

Archie gets mixed up between Nakamura and McNamara

Archie, assisted by a 12 year old Dougie Donnelly, has technical problems and phones his producer whilst on air to find out what the problem is

My dad was working for the BBc in the 80's and said Mcpherson did this all the time. Once when Archie was doing the commentary apparently he pointed at some apple juice and started doing exactly what you're saying, but nobody got it for him and he was just sitting their doing the commentary whilst getting more and more pissed off at everyone not obeying him like he was the big cheese. What a knob.

Yeah I've never seen a show less informed about football than Soccernet it must be the worst footy show ever! The scottish boy Rae or whatever he's called seems to think Tommy Smyth knows what he's talking about I cringe everytime the man says "onion bag" he wasn't even a proper footballer he played for some rubbish team in the states most of his career!
