Hell yeah B)

We pretty much dominated for 70 minutes, then let the defence take control of the game, something you'ld think would be risky, but worked amazingly well.

McMullen was absolutly class at LB like, he outplayed that mug Stevenson, what a dick he is, he is a greedy p***k, and hacks everyone down at every chance, how he never got sent off, I dont know, especially as he threw Bolo over, after pretty much stamping on him.

Gemmill and Diack just completly clicked together, Diacks goal was great, especially considering the angle B) Gemmill needs to work on his touch, but apart from that he's decent. :)

Bolo and Smith we're absolutly solid at the back, and Lennox did quite well to. Gary O' was brave, I wouldn't have been taking Stevenson's 'Roberto Carlos' Toepunts anyway

The Midfield was spot on aswell, Swanson played great again, creating chances quite well, but he really needs to take a shot when in the right position like, he gets at the edge of the 18 yard box, with a good position to shoot, and passes to someone, but other wise, he'll is class, its quite hard to criticise him too. Little did great, never stopped running, used his vision well too. McLiesh did well, and Thommo never got intimidated by the 6-7 foot giants ( ), which i thought he would, so fair play to him.

I hope consistancy kicks in now, and we kick Peterheads ass next week. :D

bless you my child. i love to see happy happy faces.

A much better performance, good passing and movement and spirit from everyone on the pitch. How Gemmill got booked for a dive is beyond me and Stevenson should ahve had a red card without a doubt for raising his hands (and twice not just once). Boyle was shocking as - I don't know how many bangs in the back Diack took without getting a free kick.

Diack was outstanding but there again I've always defended him.

McMullen was excellent at left back - again though he has been a scapegoat on the basis of around 10 minutes play. That may be Coff's fault but he didn't sign him as a left back and I would still expect McGroaty back there buy he will have to fight for his place and do better than he has to displace McMullen.

It's certainly a good start and lets hope it keeps going - I certainly like the look of how Renwick wants us to play.

I don't know why we both had to wear our away strips <_<

I would have to disagree with my fellow fans comments about Stevenson though - yeah he's a bit greedy and yeah he should have been sent off but he also showed some great quality in the first half and is a cut above anyone else I've seen in this division.

It was nice of Ayr to bring a couple of comedy West Coat drunks with them

This has been an annoyance with me for the last 2 or 3 years, the fact we wear our change strip at EVERY away game.

I believe its all down to the fact we have seperate sponsors for the home and away tops, therefore we have have to give them equal exposure.

Simple solution, if we have to have two seperate sponsors, get two sets of home tops made, one with a home sponsor and one with an away sponsor.

Then when it comes to the rare occasion when we have to wear a change of colours away from home that's when the 3rd sponsor (yes we've had one) comes into it.

Young fans turning up at grounds when Ayr are visiting probably don't realise that Ayr are traditionally black and white, when they us every year in different colours!

Anyway, back to topic!!!!

One word about us today n that is Pish. Berwick deserved more than a point today. Most of the team put no effort except from Stevo, McGowen and Jerome who had decent games.

As usual dunn was a waste of space and is the worst player i have seen in a ayr shirt. Soon as he went off we played football outside our own half but by that time there was 10 minutes left.

I think the team needs get its fingure out and start playing with some effort or we be looking at the at the bottom of the table instead of the top. Again!

Thank you for your honest opinion. Stevenson is a cracking player but he needs to think about the team first. Too often he does what makes him look good instead of doing what's best for the team. He really should be playing at a higher level but that aspect of his game really lets him down, which is a shame. Ayr really should be challenging with the overall quality of their players.

One of the best performances I've seen from the Dream Team for a while. McMullen was excellent at 3. He seems a different player running on to the ball rather than receiving it when he's standing still. Everyone looked as though they were up for it today. Diack did more running than I've seen him do before and Iano Little worked himself into the ground.

Thought the ref had a shocker, gave some inexplicable decisions. Stevenson showed some real class for Ayr but should have had a straight red late on.

Why were we playing in red at home??

Like the guy just said, due to Ayr having a home and away sponsor, so they have to play in their away kit, which would have slightly clashed with ours.

Anyway, its nice to come on here, and here honest opinions about the match, i mean if this was someone like QP or something, theyl'd be giving us a load of abuse of how 'shit' we were

That's crap - they should tell their sponsor how many games they will wear it in and charge accordingly, ot get some white kit with the alternative sponsor's name on it. Why the hell should home teams just have to change kit to suit Ayr.

I don't know

I agree with the other guy though, buy two sets of the kits and put one sponser on each.

Totally agree.
Pit Bits Bits suggestion was sensible so we know it'll never be taken up.
A home kit with both sponsors on it would make sense...mind you then folk would accuse the club of ripping them off bringing out the same shrt with 2 sponsors.

With all the vitriol in your after match posts today it will be interesting to see if you still welcome honest opinions the next time you've been royally shafted in a game, rather than when you've been done out of 2 points...

Good turn out by Ayr support yesterday and I would be interested in their opinion of the 2 penalty claims.

The first, player, ball at feet, only the goalie to beat gets hacked down from behind, gets booked for diving

The second, crowded penalty area, Ayr player grabs hold of shirt and swings player around and onto deck, play waved on

You are the Honest Men so an honest answer please. Agree Stevenson is a class player but he thinks he is even better, needs to take a long hard look at himself, realise he is a member of a team and he could then be the player he thinks he is.
I support 2 teams.

Berwick and anyone playing the Old Firm

Who was your keeper by the way? He kept you in it quite a few times with some great saves.

Might buy him on FM

Mark McGeown was the Ayr Keeper. Last year his wife was on the tele in that lottery in it to win it programme. The Ayr team were featured on the show one week.

He was always a decent keeper when he was at Stirling as I remember.

Why not. I believe in it, and that's all that matters. B)

Can't really add anything to what's been said about the game, apart from being quite incredulous at the end when Berwick fans were celebrating a point like a promotion. If Ayr had outplayed someone at home so completely I'd be raging at only getting a point. I say if, because I'm still waiting for that to happen this millenium.

Stevenson is a class act though, anyone that can't see that must be blind. He didn't have a great game yesterday, but he's responsible for about 12 of our 16 points (McGeown the other 4). When he leaves in January it will be a miracle if we stay up. :(

I think the reason we celebrated that much (although everyone clapping for a while isn't exactly celebrating that much) is because our other performances have been pretty poor, yesterday, it was a completly different team, take McMullen as an example, he was getting shit loads of abuse before this game, but yesterday him and the two centre backs kept Stevenson completly quite, as well as making excellent runs to overlap the wingers.

Ian Little tbh, I thought (under Coff), had nothing much to offer the club except coaching, he was alreet, but i didnt think he could stay here as a player, but yesterday, he ran his arse off, never stopped, he made great runs and passed expertly. Diack, I was getting pissed off with him, I thought its time to offlload, but yesterday, he never stopped.

The new manager seems to be bringing out the best in everyone B) :D

I predicted Diack would score to piss me off to

Our first point since Saturday 18th August. Anyone who didnt get excited over that is a c**t.
