Ok, Rangers defended for their lives against Barcelona for long spells but what else are we supposed to do? If Rangers came out and attacked Barcelona and played them at their own game, we would have been slaughtered. Got to play tactics to maximize our chances of getting something from the game and ultimately to qualify from the group.
Didn't hear anyone moaning about this tactic when Scotland did it to the French twice. Scotland were just fortunate that they managed to snatch a goal in each game from their only chance. Were there not Falkirk fans moaning about Hughes attacking too much at places like Ibrox and being pumped? Well last night, we were Falkirk/Gretna/StMirren etc and Barca were Rangers/Celtc. And yes, I think that the ref gave the big team a lot of soft fouls, but thats the way it goes in europe. tackles which are ok in Scotland are too rough for our soft european rivals.
If the game wasn't enjoyable for the neutral fan, then there were plenty other games on last night to watch for those with SKY. If the Celtc game tonight is gash, I'll just switch over and watch another, so I'm sure everyone with SKY would be well capable of doing this too.

Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.

charlie adam was very good
papac is a liability and needs to be hooked in favour of big kirky
tierry henry, while a great player when the team is built around him, is totally innefectual at a club like barca.

Bang on.
Thought they'd get a draw; Barca didn't have to win and looked happy with a point long before final whistle.
Rumours that Thierry Henry missed his flight as Alan Hutton's maw forgot to check her son's pockets and stuck Thierry straight in the washing machine are as yet, unfounded.

Great result last night and although they probably went easy on us i kind of left the ground a wee bit saddened that we hadn't won.
What this extra point does do is mean we only need to beat Lyon or Stuttgart to go through.
For this reason i'd treat the next barca game as a game worth losing. By that I mean we should go there to try and win and if you get pumped then so be it. The draw last night gives us this luxury and I would play an attacking formation.
Why not.

A great result yesterday and what pleased me was we never gave up and had plenty of fighting spirit
Hutton I think was our best player and kept Henry quiet while I kind of felt sorry for big Cousin upfront all by himself, a thankless task but he gave it his all. Second half I felt we played better and could have snatched a win and we even knocked the ball about well at times and played them at their own game which was good to see.
Mon the Gers!

Coz you'll probably get humped if you do.
Far better to frustrate them then hit on the break.
Only if you're a great outfit like Villarreal can you take the game to Barca - Cazorla, Forlan, Pires, the rest of them.
With all due respect to Rangers, Villarreal have a great side at present.
Ol' Hick'ry said we could take them by surprise if we didn't fire our muskets 'til we looked them in the eyes

I thought Forlan moved to Athletico Madrid?

He did. Moved in the summer for around 21 million euros.
