Should be interesting, personally I'm confident about the upcoming tie against
Burntisland Shipyard  .

They are apparently bringing 400-500 fans to Cliftonhill, this should make for a good atmosphere. :D

Thoughts on your teams pending ties?.

We played Burtisland Shipyard in the Fife Cup about a year ago and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. I think it ended up 7 or 8-0. Albion Rovers should win this one comfortabley.

I doubt they'll bring anywhere near 500.

Inverurie are top of the HL but we should beat them.

Have to say its going to be a tough game against Pollock but if we play the way we have in most of our games this season then I think we will win.

We beat inverurie fairly comfortabley 2-0 in pre season at their place. But beware they have Michie upfront!

As I've mentioned previously, I sincerely hope you give them a good gubbing.

I'd expect all the teams to go through (excluding the all-league ties, of course), although Stenny and Shire may need a replay.

I reckon Forfar will do us.

The great attraction of playing a fellow league side is avoiding early embarrassment in case of defeat. I can see a few Div 3 sides at risk
Supporting Arbroath = the best of all possible worlds. Gayfield Park = stairway to heaven. The team and fans = the worst in the league, apart from all the others. Everything is rosy in our garden

We played Pollok a couple of weeks ago and although they'll give you a tough game, I'd say you've a 50/50 chance.

Rovers will win comfortably against Burntisland Shipyard - you can call me Susan if it isn't so!

I'd be delighted with a replay. I think we have a sneaking chance of a win (especially if we make it 6 games undefeated on saturday against Dumbarton) but a draw is the more likely.

In the other games, I think Loco's are going to suprise a few people and i hope Montrose stick 5 or 6 past Pollok.

I don't know who exactly was in the Rovers team that Lok beat a few weeks ago, but I was impressed by how quickly they moved the ball around. I think the quick thinking of 3rd Division sides is what might undo the Junior sides at the back. We'll give it a go though!

just been back home to see montrose´s last 2 games against east stirling and elgin, montrose are playing better football than ive seen for a few years so would think they would comfortably beat pollok..i know nothing about Pollok but the cup brings out a few surprises so hope we are not ones to get shocked...but 3v1 to montrose i say

If the Junior sides are to win against a league side, it's going to result in a multitude of tripe from the likes of Leckie, saying how it justifies their inclusion, when it doesn't.

Would you have a similar objection to say Creetown or Crichton winning against SFL opposition next season? Just wondering how 'genned up' you are about the machinations of the SFA... because Lok and Creetown have exactly the same standing in the SFA, Registered Members. All the changes have done is open the cup up to Registered Members through winning their leagues. It's completely irrelevant that we're Junior. Creetown play in a Senior affiliated league but that has no bearing on their standing in the SFA. They're like us, outside the Full Membership.

ive said for years, that the way ahead is to get more junior teams involved in the scottish cup etc...ive played junior league myself, and even though not at the highest standard there is many a good player and loads of teams in there that could hold their own against some 3rd division sides...i played in a friendly against arbroath a few seasons ago, when they were in the 1st division and up until the last quarter of the game we matched them. only fitness and experience made them end up comfortable winners. also the fan base for many junior teams is amazing, i remember montrose roselea got drawn at home against auchinleck talbot many years ago,and they took around 800 fans up to the mo...most of us cant match that at home games....so let every team have their day....as long as pollok´s day is not against us
